Ron Banerjee: "Let's get into a big fight right inside the Eaton's Centre." Attack After Pegida Rally Looks Pre-meditated

We're still going over the events that occurred after yesterday's Pegida rally. Ron Banerjee who was also in attendance (though we didn't know it at the time) posted a grainy video of an attack inside a Toronto mall:

We later learned that the mall was the Eaton's Centre.

Later in the evening Rick Boswick and Derek Storie alluded to other coverage of the event in which they admit to committing assaults in the guise of a "citizen's arrest."

That video was posted on Boswick's YouTube channel and it doesn't make them look good.

I've cut out most of the walking (there's a lot of walking) but kept in the relevant details including:
  • Ron Banerjee goading the counter-protesters and telling them where they are going while also making threats about what will happen.
  • As they walk towards the Eaton's Centre Banerjee saying to Boswick, "lets get into a big fight right inside the Eaton's Centre" to which Boswick replies, "yep."
  • The fight in which involved several of the far right rally members (Nouns of Odin, Canadian Nationalist Party, Yellow Vesters, homophobic street preachers, etc) attack counter-protesters with fists, feet, and weapons.
  • Chris Vanderweide being lauded and then bragging about using helmets as weapons.

It is hard to view this as anything but pre-meditated at this point:

And of course, they are happy as pig in shit:

UPDATE 1: More indication from the video that the far-right were planning on assaulting counter-protesters:

UPDATE 2: Seems that some of the Nouns of Odin, aside from Chris Vanderweide decided not to attend the Pegida rally due to animosity towards some people involved.

Annette Morrison is the "alpha" or "queen" of the Wolves of Odin (because 1. they all need ridiculous, self-aggrandizing titles and 2. none of these groups are especially original). We also learned that Chris Vanderweide appears to have deleted his Facebook profile which we find especially interesting.

UPDATE 3: We have a statement from the man who was taken to the hospital.
As is visible from the video and security footage, all I had done was usher families away from the Nazis within the centre, and got suckerpunched after picking up one of the signs they dropped. I did not make any effort to fight back, instead allowing the attack on camera to unfold. You can clearly see me stop Ylli Radovicka (AKA John Moretti) from utilizing the sharpened metal pole he had used as a weapon on others by grabbing the weapon and refusing to let go.
What's not visible on video is Chris Vanderweide taking swings at passerby, including at a security guard's head which I stopped by reaching behind the guard and blocking the piece of wood with a cross he was carrying. That particular security guard thanked me for my actions.
Not only did I not engage in criminal conduct, but Radovicka, Vanderweide, Boswick, and the CNP had done so on camera whilst facing criminal trials for threatening journalists. As i stated before security brought in paramedics to check me over, Christ-inspired nonviolence towards evil has resulted in a theatrical victory against neo-Nazism.

Kevin J. Johnston Hit With 2.5 Million Dollar Judgement

So, remember when Ron Banerjee settled with Mr. Mohamad Fakih of Paramount Fine Foods who sued both Banerjee and Kevin Johnston based on an especially vile slander that a Superior Court of Justice judge ruled that videotaped comments “involve hallmarks of hate” and do not relate to a matter of public interest?

Suffice it to say, Banerjee decided to take the wiser course and Kevin "the Poodle" Johnston is now going to pay heavily for his poor decision:

Upon learning about the judgement, Joohnston responded with the grace and dignity that he is known for:

The lawsuit began two years ago. The reason there was "no trial" is because Johnston refused to mount a defence.

In the two videos he posted, Johnston appears to further libel Mr. Fakih accusing him of perjury and suggesting he has links to terrorism in Burma (he further claimed that Muslim members of the Trudeau cabinet are members of the Muslim brotherhood, promoted an anti-Muslim "documentary" he claims to have produced, and tries to sell viewers t-shirts featuring Rodrigo Duterte).

The first of the two videos however seemed to be devoted to attacking a "Toronto Star" journalist who wanted to ask him about his reaction to the judgement. Johnston can't seem to understand how a journalist might be able to learn about the judgement and calls the journalist a liar repeatedly suggesting that Paramount Fine Foods tipped him off:

Of course, given that the ruling finding that Johnston had libeled Mr. Fakih came out in April, perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise to learn that some journalist might have taken an interest in the judgement to come.

Johnston claims he's going to appeal. I don't see that ending well. I would further note that his troubles aren't over has he is facing a lawsuit from Kevin Metcalf....

From May 10, 2019

....and he is facing criminal prosecution:

Don't pity the poodle.

He's had it coming.

Old Is New Again: Some Members of Far-Right Attempt To Have Ideological Opponents, Media, and Politicians Jailed

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the "apex" of far-right "patriot" journalism in Canada:

Yep, this is a clip of a drunken Rick Boswick, Derek Storie, and Corey/Kory.... Something-or-Other (I genuinely can't be bothered to look up his last name) defaming a journalist who has already been assaulted by the far-right, complaining about the violence they claim to be subjected to, and talking about bringing paintball guns loaded with glass marbles to shoot at counter-protesters.

Not a good look gentlemen. Not a good look at all.

In any case, the boys here have been rather busy. On weekends they organize Poorly attended Yellow Vest protests on an overpass outside Toronto. They also found themselves the focus of a national news story when, in their Yellow Vest attire, they heckled PM Justin Trudeau and Toronto mayor John Tory during a news conference concerning affordable housing:

As a bit of an aside, I'm not sure complaining about being called white supremacists then going ton to complain about minorities and the persecution of white people (in addition to the New World Order conspiracy theories) really help your case much:

However, the Pegida protest in Toronto on March 23 is what has Boswick and Storie all riled up, especially this tweet from John Tory:

It should be noted that the Pegida Canada rally came hot on the heels of the murder of 50 Muslim worshipers in Christchurch, New Zealand. A couple of days prior to the Pegida Canada rally in Toronto, Faith Goldy and her drones appeared at an anti-racism rally and memorial for the Christchurch victims intent on antagonizing the attendees; Bowswick and Storie came after Goldy's group left.

In fact, both the Pegida Canada rally and the harassment of the memorial were discussed when Goldy interviewed both Boswick and Storie.

Before I post this though, a brief open letter to Faith Goldy.

Hi Faith. May I call you Faith?
You and I need to talk about life choices.
For example, you went from someone who interviewed the now leader of Her Majesty's Official Opposition and, perhaps, future Prime Minister of Canada to being kicked off most social media platforms as a white nationalist and interviewing two unemployed drifters during one of their moments of sobriety while they ranted on about New World Order conspiracy theories.
In the dark hours of the evening, and you experience the Dark Night of the Soul when you can't sleep and find yourself staring at the ceiling, do you ever wonder where it all went wrong Faith?

Boswick and Storie present a narrative of the Pegida members being the victims of unprovoked attacks on March 23. While it certainly was a raucous event with Pegida members outnumbered by 10 to 1, the story isn't really quite as clear cut as the two make it out to be:

Still, this particular bug has really gotten up their butts.

In the they posted where they are heckling Trudeau and Tory, you probably heard Boswick, Storie, or both talking about some sort of legal challenge. They discuss it in slightly more detail at one point:

That's right. They think they can prosecute Tory for a tweet and destroy "antifa" because.... freedom I guess:

White Nationalist Faith Goldy Disrupts Anti-Racism Rally/Memorial for Christchurch Victims

UPDATE: My internal calendar is messed up. March 21 was Thursday, not Wednesday. Thank you to ARC's new writer for picking up on the error:
I’m so glad ARC, and many others, have called out Goldy and her supporters for their obnoxious disruption last week. Just a quick correction that the event occurred on Thursday March 21 as part of a cross-country series of events for IDERD (International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination). For those who want to know more about the organizations involved, who was scheduled to speak, and generally what was planned, here are two of the Facebook event pages:
https://www.facebook.com/events/901206490049658/https://www.facebook.com/events/3094781150547546/
This past Wednesday Thursday, a memorial was held for victims of the Christchurch mosque tragedy during an anti-racism rally that took place in Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. Aside from hate groups like the Westboro Baptist Church, one would be hard pressed to find anyone crass and vulgar enough to disrupt such an event.

And if you believe this to be true, you don't know Faith Goldy very well:

Faith Goldy and a small group of supporters showed up to harass attendees of the event. Not surprisingly, it led to a confrontation which is what Goldy was aiming for. However it might not have ended quite the way she had hoped it would.

Ron Banerjee, who increasingly looks as if he is violating the agreement he made with Mohamed Fakih of Paramount Fine Foods to prevent his financial ruin for engaging in defamation, breathlessly reported the event:

Goldy posted a video of the event later. I've taken the liberty to edit it and add some commentary:

The "It's Okay to Be White" slogan isn't the innocuous and innocent statement that Goldy claims it to be. As ARC readers are aware, it is a long running campaign to make white nationalist socially acceptable:

Goldy knows this to be true. She also knows that her supporters clearly hear her dog whistles as evidenced by these comments left on the video she posted on YouTube:

More concerning are those who Goldy, through efforts such as these, helps to radicalize as evidenced by the other comments left by those who watched the video:

Despite claiming to be sympathetic to the victims of the Christchurch attacks, Goldy has contributed to further radicalizing her base of supporters. Those individuals include this fella:

Aside from his advanced age, Robert Jones of the Northern Guard (formerly of the Soldiers of Odin and then the Proudboys before being kicked out of both) is sort of a textbook example of an individual radicalized online, though I suspect he had prior far-right views. While he claimed to initially condemn the Christchurch killings, he very soon posted messages justifying the murders. This has not only continued but has escalated as Jones suggests the murderer may one day be regarded as a hero and advocates for similar terrorist attacks:

More Reactions From Canadian Racists/Islamophobes to Christchurch Tragedy and The Dangers of Extremist Rhetoric

Yesterday I posted an article detailing a thread on the reactionary Yellow Vests Canada Facebook page which discussed the murder of 49 worshipers at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. Given what has been published here and by others (Yellow Vests Canada Exposed and the Canadian Anti-Hate Network) readers will hardly be surprised that the thread consisted primarily of celebratory comments with a minority of posters who voiced their disapproval.

Knowing that the thread was being watched and that laid bare the real beliefs of their members, the administrators deleted it as well as others that popped up, however the vitriolic hatred of the membership has been rather hard to contain and ARC has been able to collect more screen shots detailing the reality behind Yellow Vests Canada Exposed:

ARC readers know full well that this bigotry, a spreading virus world wide through social media, isn't isolated to the supporters of Yellow Vests Canada or other Yellow Vests supporters in Canada. It didn't take long for other groups that ARC monitors to start commenting on the murder of 49 Muslims. Many of the comments were also celebratory. Some attempted to justify the murders while other started the "false flag" or "the Muslims did it themselves" claims that have become all too common when such horrible events occur. Of course there are the claims that the shooter was actually a far-leftist in order to absolve the right of any culpability. The QAnon fanatics have also gotten in on the act. Finally, there are a few who have actually questioned the presence of mosques in Christchurch and have posited that their presence in the city was a provocation intended by Muslims to claim dominance over Christianity.... because the name of the city is Christchurch.

If they were inclined to do the minimal research required, their minds would be blown to learn there are at least 26 Christian Churches in Islamabad, Pakistan:

Mohamad Fakih and Paramount Fine Foods v. Ron Banerjee: A Play In Five Acts

This probably doesn't bode well for Kevin "the Poodle" Johnston, the other party in the law suit. He hasn't been especially active online of late, though the selling of a comic book collection suggests he's strapped for cash. There was also a recent question posed on his own Twitter account (but seemingly not by himself) concerning a significant health issue.

Time will tell.

In the meantime I would like to congratulate Mr. Fakih and thank him for his very generous donation to the Canadian Anti-Hate Network.

Anti-Migrant Protests: Maxime Bernier No-Shows in Ottawa and Brief Notes on Other Protests

Last month we saw Faith Goldy and roughly 40 alt-right (including ID Canada) supporters hold a protest opposing Canada signing the UN Migration Compact. Today in Ottawa was another anti-migrant rally which also features a whose who of racist and Islamophobic groups including La Meute, Storm Alliance, III% militia, Northern Guard and speakers such as Thomas Quiggin.

Also amongst this group was to have been former Conservative Party of Canada leadership hopeful and now leader of the breakaway PCC Maxime Bernier who has made opposition to immigration and multiculturalism key components of his far-right party's identity:

The bigots who have been profiled on ARC have been drawn to Bernier like a moth to a flame since he left the Conservative Party (which appears to have been pulled even further right in an effort to draw those supporters back) since Bernier left to form the PCC. He seems to be very comfortable associating with these groups:

On the day of the event however, Bernier seems to have conveniently found a scheduling conflict:

His university fan club however did show up:

Justin Ling attended the event and reported as follows:

Looking through the social media pages of the folks covered here, I find the following. First a video by Travis Patron of the neo-fascist Nationalist Party of Canada and accompanying comments:

The Dan Dubois of the Canadian Combat Coalition reposted one of Patron's videos to their group:

Just to get a flavor of what these folks are about for any new readers, these following screen shots should prove instructive:

The Northern Guard and former Proud Boy member Robert Jones chimed in with their thoughtful critique of the Anti-Hate Canada article discussing the events planned for today:

Also, Canadian Combat Coalition supporter, Northern Guard supporter, and QAnon conspiracy nutbar Duke Willis who attended the Ottawa protest and uploaded a video"

It also looks like there are other anti-migrant protests in both Toronto and Calgary, though there appears to be no more than a couple of dozen individuals participating in each; Steven Myatt is involved in the one in Calgary where he now lives and Ron Banerjee is in Toronto.

Here's Banerjee leading a chant to "lock [Trudeau] up":

Here is a brief video of Calgary. Note the Soldiers of Odin are present. The claim that there are over 100 people appears to be exaggerated:

The III% militia in Alberta also commented on the Anti-Hate Canada article, some making not so veiled threats:

The leader of a fringe Alberta separatist party, Dave Bjorkman who was part of the story involving Soldiers of Odin members attending a United Conservative Party event (see here and here) claims to be one of the organizers for an anti-migrant event in Edmonton as well. In the first video Bjorkman suggests that the UCP are involved in the rally as well:
