Fight When You Must:
Realpolitik and the Right

Niccolò Machiavelli

2,612 words

Recently the question of realpolitik in the White Nationalist movement came up, and it generated the best kind of debate: pointed and informed, yet civil. In my favorable review of the 2017 film Chappaquiddick, I decided to take a novel approach to the Chappaquiddick affair by suggesting that Ted Kennedy had done the right thing by not resigning afterward and that the people of Massachusetts had done the right thing by standing by him, despite their man’s transparent acts of cowardice and deception. In other words, can – or should – a person sacrifice his own soul for the betterment of a political movement? Read more …

“Major Robert Rogers & an Indian Chief,” from Fort Ticonderoga: A Short History by S. H. P. Pell.

6,042 words

“Their captain was Robert Rogers, of New Hampshire, – a strong, well-knit figure, in dress and appearance more woodsman than soldier . . . He was ambitious and violent, yet able in more ways than one, by no means uneducated, and so skilled in woodcraft, so energetic and resolute, that his services were invaluable.”

Stephen Mitford Goodson: In Memoriam

1,610 words

Stephen Mitford Goodson, as his name suggests, was related to the Mitfords of Diana Mosley and Unity fame. Having served on the editorial board of The Barnes Review, he is most remembered by the imbecilic and notably unreliable Wikipedia and other sundry scum as a “holocaust denier” and for being “anti-Semitic” because the entirety of the world is supposed to be Judeocentric. However, Goodson arrived at his conclusions through his academic and professional backgrounds in economics and finance. Read more …

Full disclosure: Augustus Invictus is a personal friend.

They say that you can only judge a piece of art by its internal consistency and integrity. The surreal work of Salvador Dalí and the raw unreality of Picasso are abysmal by any standard which judges art according to its ability to encapsulate the actual appearance of the real world. Read more …

For a Wagnerian, seeing a performance at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus (Festival House) – the theater that was built and established by Richard Wagner himself, with the financial support of Wagner Societies across Germany as well as King Ludwig II and the Bavarian state coffers in the 1870s – is the Holy Grail of Wagnerism, the pinnacle of the Wagner experience. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1981

It happened in the middle of August: Students who have begun a course in “gender studies” at a Hungarian institution will be able to finish it, but no new courses will henceforth be permitted to start. Read more …

Blackwashing Us Out of Our Own Culture

Dev Patel is a natural for David Copperfield in Victorian London.

2,040 words

At the beginning of this year, I wrote an article exposing the Huffington Post’s double standard and anti-white agenda when it comes to racialized casting in film and television series. The Huffington Post’s position reflects that of the mainstream media at large, whereby persons of color being cast in white roles is to be applauded, whereas whites being cast in non-white roles is to be denounced. Civic Nationalism & the Diaspora Question

1,858 words

America’s inevitable future, according to civic nationalists.

East Asians who migrate to America have been seen historically as the “model minority,” so much so that Asians – and the country of Singapore – are both commonly cited as examples of civic nationalism “working.” It occurred to me that if there was ever a group of people who could be considered “naturally conservative,” that title would most certainly apply to Asians, long before it would apply to Hispanics. Arch Enemy & Dostoevsky’s Devils

Angela Gossow

2,045 words

“No gods, no masters” is an old anarchist slogan, dating back to the nineteenth century. It envisions a cosmos marked by an absence of hierarchy. There is no God above us, and there should be no masters in this world to boss us about. Since this small world is our only world, we have an obligation to rid it of all forms of subordination. We won’t get a second chance in some sacred afterlife, where injustice and hierarchy could be divinely dissolved. Read more …
