Tian Tao

Tian Tao (Chinese: 田涛; pinyin: Tián Tāo; born 8 April 1994) is a Chinese weightlifter. He was picked for the sport in Changyang at ten years of age.

Career

Tian first rose to national prominence after winning the 77 kg category of the Chinese Intercity Games in October 2011 at the age of 17. Although not recognized for not being an international event, his lifts far exceeded the official Youth World Records (by 6/23/35 kg respectively), the jerk of 205 kg even beating the Junior World Record by 3 kg.

Tian's next competition was the April 2012 National Championships where he attempted to qualify for the London Olympic Games. With his total of 365 kg he was however beaten by Lu Haojie and Lu Xiaojun to third place and didn't make the national team. During his second attempt in the jerk with 211 kg he also injured his right elbow and had to rehab for the rest of the year.

In 2013 he moved up to the 85 kg class and competed in January at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival, winning the bronze medal. In the March National Championships he won the snatch with 165 kg but had to retire early again due to injury after only one successful jerk, not placing on the overall podium. Later this year in September at the domestically prestigious Chinese National Games he placed third with only two good attempts. He was nevertheless chosen to represent China at the World Championships, where he was forced to drop out after the snatch part of the competition.

Lü Xiaojun

Lü Xiaojun (Chinese: 吕小军; pinyin: Lǚ Xiǎojūn; born July 27, 1984) is a Chinese weightlifter. He is an Olympic champion and three time world champion. He is also the current world and Olympic record holder for both the snatch and the total in the 77 kg category. His world records are 176 kg (388 lb) in the snatch and 380 kg (840 lb) total. He utilizes the squat jerk technique instead of the typical split jerk.

Early life

Lü was born in a village administered by Qianjiang City, Hubei Province. His father, Lü Yuan, and the rest of his family were farmers. When he was 13 years old he joined a local sports school to be trained as a weightlifter, which was an opportunity to escape rural poverty. In 1999, to remove the financial burden on Lü's family, his coach Dengling Hu sent him to the join the provincial team.

Weightlifting career

In 2003 Lü represented the Hubei in the national weightlifting championships - 69 kg and won bronze. The same year, due to his outstanding performance, he joined the Chinese national team. In 2006 due to ligament injuries in his shoulders and legs he left the national team. In 2008, after the 2008 Summer Olympics, Lü renewed his training in the national team with coach Yu Jie.

The Sims 3

The Sims 3 is the third major title in the life simulation video game developed by The Sims Studio (Maxis) and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to the best-selling computer game, The Sims 2. It was first released on June 2, 2009 simultaneously for OS X and Microsoft Windows – both versions on the same disc. The Sims 3 was released to game consoles and smartphones on October 26, 2010, for PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, Android, iOS, and Nintendo DS. The Windows Phone version was made available on the Windows Phone Store on October 15, 2010. A Nintendo 3DS version, released on March 27, 2011, was one of its launch titles. It has also been released for mobile phone platforms, and a simpler version for mobiles with Java.

The Sims 3 was a commercial success, selling 1.4 million copies in its first week. Critics issued mostly positive reviews. The Sims 3 gained an 86/100 score from aggregator Metacritic. The game has sold over ten million copies worldwide since its 2009 release, making it one of the best-selling PC games of all time.

The Sims 4

The Sims 4 is a life simulation video game developed by Maxis and The Sims Studio and published by Electronic Arts. The Sims 4 was originally announced on May 6, 2013, and was released in North America on September 2, 2014 for Microsoft Windows. A Mac compatible version of the software was made available for digital download on February 17, 2015.The Sims 4 is the first PC game to top all-format charts in two years. The game has received mixed reviews since its release.

The game has the same concept as its predecessor, The Sims 3. Players control their Sims in various activities and can form relationships. The game, like the rest of the series, does not have a defined final goal; gameplay is nonlinear. The Create-a-Sim and Build Mode tools have been redesigned to allow more versatility when creating game content. Emotional state plays a larger role in gameplay than in previous games in the series, with effects on social interaction, user interface, and personality.

Gameplay

The Sims 4 is a life simulation game, similar to its predecessors. Players create a Sim character and control their life to explore different personalities which change the way the game plays out. Sims can multitask such as talk while doing a task. Sims' moodlets also change the gameplay. For example, a Sim can do a task while being either angry or totally excited.
