Why is the govt pressurising the RBI to withhold the names of the wilful defaulters and not complying with the Supreme Court orders. Is the BJP scared that once the names are out, it will have a lot to answer: @JaiveerShergill

In Nov 2018, CIC passed an order to reveal the names of all wilful defaulters, in April-May, the SC gave a final warning to RBI and the govt. We urge the BJP govt to comply with these orders and make the names public: @JaiveerShergill

In December 2015, the SC gave an order to reveal the names of all wilful defaulters including the 36 who have fled the country. From December 2015- Nov 2018, the BJP govt did not reveal those names: @JaiveerShergill

As a responsible opposition, we want to tell the newly elected BJP govt to come out of its celebration mode and serve the people by focussing on the economy and looking into the bank scams: @JaiveerShergill

India’s deteriorating economy and banks being looted is the reality right now and the BJP needs to accept this: During the last 5 years of BJP, there have been 27,125 cases of bank fraud and a sum of Rs 1,74,750 crores disappeared from this country: @JaiveerShergill

In 2017-2018, there were 5916 cases, and a scam of Rs 41,160 crores. There is a 70% increase in the bank fraud cases between 2017-2018 and 2018-2019: @JaiveerShergill

The RBI has brought to light another figure on the basis of an RTI query. In the last one year, there have been 6800 cases of bank fraud. Wherein there has been a scam of around Rs 71,500 crores: @JaiveerShergill

The statistics being put forward by government institutions are alarming. The NSSO figures that came out in December, that the govt won’t accept, the govt has now put forward the same figures that unemployment is at a 45-year high: @JaiveerShergill

Congress had promised that it will play the role of a responsible opposition & take up all issues related to the public and be the voice of people. BJP has been trying to hide statistics for the last five years so that the public does not know the real picture: @JaiveerShergill
