Tonight's attempted attack on at the Edinburgh University event was by a trans activist who has repeatedly encouraged violence against gender critical women on . Lots of supposedly-progressive people seem to think aggression against GC women is excusable.

A line's been drawn in the sand today. On one side people opposing male violence against women. On the other side people supporting a certain amount of violence against the right women by the right sort of men.

Can you do me a favour? Those of you having a go at Diane Abbott about trans stuff, please lay off? She has had enough abuse over the years, and much as you disagree with her about stuff, I don't want anyone harassing her in my name. Ta very much x

The whole narrative of women's meetings or feminist meetings being *anti trans* is duplicitous WOMEN have the right to speak, and to assemble and to address issues that impact women - this is PRO WOMEN not anti anything

  6. Ah yes, those annoying women with their big mouths and their demands and their insistence on their own rights and boundaries. Just asking for it. Just pushing males until it’s perfectly understandable that they’d ‘lash out’

  8. This is so true. The only way the attack on could possibly have been written up in such an outrageously biased way is if those doing the writing writing found her fundamentally less important, interesting, real - human - than her attacker

Re Munroe Bergdorf's appointment as a Childline rep, I suppose the million dollar question is “Who at the looked at this and thought ‘Yes! There’s our next Childline representative!’”

Absolutely disgraceful take from the guardian. There was a panel of feminists and scholars discussing women's rights in the context of identity politics. The LGBT committee resigned because they refused to take down libellous and defamatory about the event.

I can’t believe people think radfem beliefs lead to violence against transwomen... when the majority of transwomen killed are those in the sex trade... which radical feminism famously opposes

I think The spelt "Feminist Campaigner Julie Bindel Assaulted Following LGBT+ Committee's Claim Discussing Women's Rights and Male Violence to be "transphobic hate" " incorrectly.

  14. This is a supposedly progressive newspaper writing up an attack by a male on a woman for having the temerity to speak about male violence. And it reads like every abusive man who ever said ‘she made me do it.’ Shame on you The Guardian. For shame

Hey can you please explain why a children’s safeguarding charity has hired a porn model as a Childline ambassador? It’s an astonishing decision. Is it worth the cancelled direct debits?

Attn MPs + journalists. Even if you don't care about sex & gender (and you should), consider this: Julie Bindel, a journalist, has been physically attacked for expressing her opinions. This cannot stand.

When a man stands up for his legal rights he's a man, and he's just and fair. When a woman stands up for hers she's a feminazi, a TERF, a bigot, a witch, a bitch, and somehow it means she doesn't want ANYONE else to have rights.

It's exactly as you say. The , which often does fairly good science reporting on 99 percent of issues, suddenly turns into an undergrad student handing out leaflets in front of the university Rainbow Centre when it comes to this one issue

If you google cbc and rachel mckinnon, you'll find all sort of nonsense about how women and men have similar bodies. It's the issue where self-respecting science journalism goes to die.
