On May Day 2019, International Workers’ Day, revolutionaries took action in the streets of downtown Montreal to commemorate the centenary of the Winnipeg General Strike.

From the very first moments of the rally at Phillips Square, Montreal police seized all the red flags that were lying on the ground, even before they were distributed to the demonstrators. In doing so, the police have resumed an anti-communist practice that was commonplace in Montreal until the 1950s. For the bourgeoisie and its repressive apparatus, the red flag is the symbol of revolt, revolution and the people’s struggle for power. They consider its

Statement of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Parties and Organizations:

The imperialist system continues going through a deep crisis. Current attempts imperialist and reactionary to deal with and overcome it are unsuccessful and it is going to deepen and extend.

The crisis, emerged in the field of finance, has its cause in production and today results in a new recession. The global inter-imperialist dispute and contradictions become sharper. These new disputes start as trade war, and then are increasingly turning into political-military geo-strategic contradictions, resulting in and expanding in aggressive, occupied and proxy wars in countries oppressed by imperialism and also somewhat advancing the

This year, May 1st has special significance for the Canadian proletariat. It coincides with the centenary of an event whose recollection remains forever engraved in its memory, an event that, at the time, allowed it to learn fundamental lessons and, above all, to forge essential weapons that are still used today in our struggle against the capitalists: the Winnipeg General Strike.

On May 1st, 1919, Winnipeg construction workers – followed the next day by metallurgy workers – went on strike to obtain better wages, shorter days and union recognition. Two weeks later, following the bosses’ categorical refusal to negotiate with

To all those who fight for communism…

The appearance of Arsenal No. 10 is a great step forward in the solidification of the revolutionary camp in Canada. This issue’s publishing by the Revolutionary Communist Party marks its entry into a new phase of its political struggle to rebuild the camp of revolution. It is more unified than ever and armed with unswerving enthusiasm that its activists have taken to the task.

The 10th issue of Arsenal is concentrated on the objective forms of revolutionary action, the notion of a complete communist party, and the continuity of the historical experience of

This criticism is part of the struggle we have been leading for many months to repair the political damage done to the revolution by the Canadian opportunists.

The Revolutionary Communist Party completely disavows the ninth issue of the Arsenal political journal, published when the Party was still riddled by the opportunists. From now on, our distribution of this issue ceases permanently. The publishing of this issue in early 2017 served counter-revolutionary objectives and was a considerable step back for the communist movement in Canada. Our readers and sympathizers were left asking whether our organization had abandoned the struggle for communism

For the vast majority of the population, voting is useless. From one election to the next, the wealth gap continues to widen, attacks on workers are multiplying, the military budget increases, wars against the peoples of exploited countries carries on, indigenous peoples’ extreme poverty persists, and that, no matter the ruling party, whether right or “left”. The reason for this is very simple: under capitalism, despite universal suffrage, it is those who hold Capital—banks, industry, natural resources, trade, media, etc.—who decide. State and parliament, despite their democratic varnish, are in reality nothing but the apparatuses used by the bourgeoisie—the social

It’s the 45th anniversary of the assassination of the representative of the international proletariat in Turkey, the founder of the TKP/ML (Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist-Leninist) Ibrahim Kaypakkaya.

Comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya was only 24 when he was murdered by the severe tortures from the fascist Turkish state on the 18th of May. Kaypakkaya founded the TKP/ML when he was 23 years old.

Ibrahim Kaypakkaya succeeded in becoming the permanent leader of the communist idea and the correct revolutionary line in Turkey.

He is one of the best disciple of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. He evaluated his own ideas and the

On May 1st 2018—on the 200th anniversary of the birth of Karl Marx, and on the 170th anniversary of the first issue of the Manifesto of the Communist Party, written by Marx and Engels—is the great opportunity to affirm their relevance and power, as living weapons of the communists and the proletarians of yesterday, today and forever.

“The history of every society that has existed so far is a history of class struggle.”

“The whole society splits into two great enemy camps, into two great classes directly opposed: bourgeoisie and proletariat.”

“The political power of the modern state is just

Today, the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) begins its twelfth year of existence with the launching of a broad political offensive against the Canadian imperialist bourgeoisie. We are setting forth on a 15-month campaign which will notably aim to organize a vast and robust group of workers and proletarians for May Day 2019, when we will call for a demonstration of a new breadth in downtown Montreal, to be joined by combative actions elsewhere in Canada, marking the centennial of the Winnipeg General Strike in red ink. With this initiative, we will allow the revolt of the popular masses to grow

Gathering at Square Cabot (corner Atwater & Sainte-Catherine)

–Facebook event.

Too few people are aware that March 8 was born out of the revolutionary fervor of communist women, who in 1910, meeting for the 2nd Socialist International, decided to add a day to the calendar celebrating the courage of proletarians in constant struggle against their capitalist exploiters. Women such as Clara Zetkin and Alexandra Kollontai wanted the proletariat to pay a yearly tribute to its feminine component; they wanted the bourgeoisie to tremble yearly, faced with the tenacity of working women
