"New York" is the third single by Eskimo Joe, taken from their third studio album Black Fingernails, Red Wine. The band flew to New York to film the music video for the single. The music video for "New York" debuted on ABC's all night music program, Rage, as the first clip shown on 15 December 2006. "New York" was released on 3 February 2007.

The music video is unusual for Eskimo Joe, featuring lead singer Kavyen Temperley changing T-shirts. It is filmed on the streets of New York, whilst Temperley walks backward with smoke coming out of his mouth. It then pans to the band running in Central Park in a similar style to the "Who Sold Her Out" video.
Director Stuart MacLeod has commented.
After a quick mock-up at home, the logistics of donning T-shirts in real time was proving more difficult than anticipated. In frustration, MacLeod hit the rewind button and the sudden flurry of activity saw the concept morph into a music video.

New York (World Series of Football)
"New York" (also referred to as the New Yorks and the New York Philadelphians) was a term given to a professional football team formed by promoter Tom O'Rouke for the World Series of Football in 1902. The event was held in New York City at Madison Square Garden. It featured five football teams from New York and New Jersey: the Syracuse Athletic Club, Orange Athletic Club, Knickerbocker Athletic Club, Warslow Athletic Club and "New York". The "New York" team was designed and heavily favored to win the tournament. However, they were defeated in the opening game by Syracuse.
Origins
The "New York" team comprised ex-players from the recently defunct Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Athletics of the first National Football League – eight Phillies and four Athletics. It included Charlie Gelbert, Blondy Wallace, Walter E. Bachman and Ben Roller. However, the team also featured some recognizable players from New York such as Curly Davidson. By putting together a team of all-stars calling them the "New York" team, O'Rourke expected to give his New York audience the pleasure of watching the "home team" win.

New York is the fifteenth solo album by Lou Reed, released early in 1989. A universal critical success, it is widely considered one of his best solo albums. While the defunct Velvet Underground were at the peak of their popularity at the time, Reed's solo career had hit several lows during the 1980s, at least since his Blue Mask. However the widespread popularity of New York reignited his career to the extent that he could revive the Velvet Underground for an aborted world tour.
The album is highly regarded for the strength and force of its lyrical content, but at the time drew criticism for its perceived pedestrian, "truck driver," musicianship. Reed countered that he required simple music so that it would not distract from his frank lyrics. The single "Dirty Blvd." was a #1 hit on the newly created Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart for four weeks. Velvet Underground drummer Maureen Tucker played on two tracks.

Michael Barimo is per Wikipedia, "Raised in Winter Park, Florida, Michael began his career as a singer and whistler as a child, performing with a boys' choir and touring as Amahl in Gian Carlo Menotti's one act opera Amahl and the Night Visitors. When he was three years old his aunt gave him a pet canary that supposedly inspired him to whistle.[1] In the first grade, Michael was awarded "best whistler" of his class, foreshadowing what would come in his musical career. At the age of 11, Michael appeared on the Nickelodeon show Figure It Out and whistled an aria from Faust.
Michael won several of the national whistling competitions held by the IWC[disambiguation needed] in Louisburg, North Carolina as a teen [2]. Upon winning the grand title of World Champion at the Millennium Championship of Musical Whistling in Edmonton, Alberta in 1999, he began performing around the world, whistling operatic arias, particularly those with fast coloratura. His most well known whistled arias are: The Vengeance Aria (Mozart) The Jewel Song (Gounod) and Mercè Dilette Amiche (Verdi).
Michael Barimo attended Columbia College of Columbia University in New York City from 2002 to 2006, graduating with two B.A.'s in Italian Literature and Anthropology. He won the 2002 Sergio Franchi scholarship from National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) and performed at galas in D.C. and Connecticut. On March 30, 2003, while a freshman at Columbia, Michael appeared as the musical guest on the Late Show with David Letterman. [3]
Michael has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall with the IBLA Foundation and was presented the Vincenzo Bellini award.[4], he was presented with an award by the Licia Albanese Puccini Foundation in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 and performed at their annual gala held at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. On November 30, 2007, Michael performed a one-man concert for the Italian Legion of Merit. On November 11, 2008, he performed for Ten O'clock Classics [5] at their gala at the Russian Tea Room in New York. In March 2008 he performed for the Ten O'Clock Classics at The Cutting Room in New York City [6]."

The first annual Founders' Day Celebration is to honor the accomplishments of Co-Founders, Fritz Lohman (1922-2009) and Charles Leslie on his 80th birthday. They are recognized them for creating the Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation which has been supporting the LGBTQ art community for more than 40 years.
Michael Barimo is per Wikipedia, "Raised in Winter Park, Florida, Michael began his career as a singer and whistler as a child, performing with a boys' choir and touring as Amahl in Gian Carlo Menotti's one act opera Amahl and the Night Visitors. When he was three years old his aunt gave him a pet canary that supposedly inspired him to whistle.[1] In the first grade, Michael was awarded "best whistler" of his class, foreshadowing what would come in his musical career. At the age of 11, Michael appeared on the Nickelodeon show Figure It Out and whistled an aria from Faust.
Michael won several of the national whistling competitions held by the IWC[disambiguation needed] in Louisburg, North Carolina as a teen [2]. Upon winning the grand title of World Champion at the Millennium Championship of Musical Whistling in Edmonton, Alberta in 1999, he began performing around the world, whistling operatic arias, particularly those with fast coloratura. His most well known whistled arias are: The Vengeance Aria (Mozart) The Jewel Song (Gounod) and Mercè Dilette Amiche (Verdi).
Michael Barimo attended Columbia College of Columbia University in New York City from 2002 to 2006, graduating with two B.A.'s in Italian Literature and Anthropology. He won the 2002 Sergio Franchi scholarship from National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) and performed at galas in D.C. and Connecticut. On March 30, 2003, while a freshman at Columbia, Michael appeared as the musical guest on the Late Show with David Letterman. [3]
Michael has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall with the IBLA Foundation and was presented the Vincenzo Bellini award.[4], he was presented with an award by the Licia Albanese Puccini Foundation in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 and performed at their annual gala held at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. On November 30, 2007, Michael performed a one-man concert for the Italian Legion of Merit. On November 11, 2008, he performed for Ten O'clock Classics [5] at their gala at the Russian Tea Room in New York. In March 2008 he performed for the Ten O'Clock Classics at The Cutting Room in New York City [6]."

New York City makes up over 40% of the population of New York State. Two-thirds of the state's population lives in the New York City Metropolitan Area, and nearly 40% live on Long Island. Both the state and New York City were named for the 17th century Duke of York, future King James II of England. The next four most populous cities in the state are Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse, while the state capital is Albany.

The first annual Founders' Day Celebration is to honor the accomplishments of Co-Founders, Fritz Lohman (1922-2009) and Charles Leslie on his 80th birthday. They are recognized them for creating the Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation which has been supporting the LGBTQ art community for more than 40 years.
Michael Barimo is per Wikipedia, "Raised in Winter Park, Florida, Michael began his career as a singer and whistler as a child, performing with a boys' choir and touring as Amahl in Gian Carlo Menotti's one act opera Amahl and the Night Visitors. When he was three years old his aunt gave him a pet canary that supposedly inspired him to whistle.[1] In the first grade, Michael was awarded "best whistler" of his class, foreshadowing what would come in his musical career. At the age of 11, Michael appeared on the Nickelodeon show Figure It Out and whistled an aria from Faust.
Michael won several of the national whistling competitions held by the IWC[disambiguation needed] in Louisburg, North Carolina as a teen [2]. Upon winning the grand title of World Champion at the Millennium Championship of Musical Whistling in Edmonton, Alberta in 1999, he began performing around the world, whistling operatic arias, particularly those with fast coloratura. His most well known whistled arias are: The Vengeance Aria (Mozart) The Jewel Song (Gounod) and Mercè Dilette Amiche (Verdi).
Michael Barimo attended Columbia College of Columbia University in New York City from 2002 to 2006, graduating with two B.A.'s in Italian Literature and Anthropology. He won the 2002 Sergio Franchi scholarship from National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) and performed at galas in D.C. and Connecticut. On March 30, 2003, while a freshman at Columbia, Michael appeared as the musical guest on the Late Show with David Letterman. [3]
Michael has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall with the IBLA Foundation and was presented the Vincenzo Bellini award.[4], he was presented with an award by the Licia Albanese Puccini Foundation in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 and performed at their annual gala held at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. On November 30, 2007, Michael performed a one-man concert for the Italian Legion of Merit. On November 11, 2008, he performed for Ten O'clock Classics [5] at their gala at the Russian Tea Room in New York. In March 2008 he performed for the Ten O'Clock Classics at The Cutting Room in New York City [6]."
