This week, we honour the strength and resilience of our people, our ...communities and our culture. We began this week with National Sorry Day on Sunday, to remember the resilience and stories of our Stolen Generations and the ongoing impact felt amongst our families and communities. Sunday also marked the beginning of National Reconciliation Week. We come together inviting the broader Australian community to learn our history, embedded with truth telling. We must move forward ‘grounded in truth and walking together with courage’.

In the lead up to Koorie Youth Summit 2019, we were extremely humble...d to learn that we received the Liberty Victoria Young Voltaire Award for our project, Ngaga-dji: hear me. The collaborative project led by Anna Cerrato and Indi Clarke, voices the experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in Victoria’s youth justice system. Ngaga-dji is based on listening, valuing & acting on the voices of our children in the Victorian youth justice system. We call on everyone to read this report to take action with us, share our stories, share our solutions, and share our vision.
