Forensic police are investigating a property after a body was found in Osborne Park.

Forensic police are investigating the suspected murder of a 34-year-old woman, Jelagat Cheruiyot, after she was found dead inside her unit in the Perth suburb of Osborne Park.

Family and friends became concerned after they were unable to contact her for several days, and contacted Morley police station.

Officers arrived at Cheruiyot's Main Street home just after midday on Wednesday and discovered her body inside.

"A full forensic investigation is occurring now (and) was occurring all last night, today and will probably continue into tomorrow," detective senior sergeant Sean Wright from the homicide squad told 7NEWS.

Cheruiyot had worked at a local business south of the Swan River.

Link to two cars

Police are appealing to the public for more information and are particularly interested in two vehicles linked to the premises which are now missing.

One is a blue 2007 Hyundai Getz hatchback with registration 1CMR900 while the other is a 1995 blue Mitsubishi coupe with the plate 1BJP872.

Two of Cheruiyot's relatives living in Perth have been contacted but senior sergeant Wright says detectives are still trying to get in touch with her wider family.

The Stirling Times newspaper has reported that the woman's family became worried when she failed to make a planned flight to America on May 22.
