And banned an entire field (gender studies), right?

Yes. And turned textbooks into agitprop.

“Meets” now means “makes common cause with”? And implies agreement on all particulars?

So Peterson has built his career off confronting dumb college kids and underprepared journalists all in the name of “free speech” yet can’t find an unkind word to say about Europe’s leading authoritarian and opponent of free speech? Why?
-
We all know why.

I can't believe Jordan Peterson is still employed at
@UofT. Anyone willing to overlook Orbán is just as much the problem. Yipes -

Peterson is so obsessed with communist authoritarians that he’s fallen off the other side. Not surprising.
-
Authoritarians of any stripe are dangerous. ( aside: Especially those insisting their God is on “their” side. )

Peterson has gone a step too far here in his counter balance to the far left
-
Or maybe he’s just an authoritarian who doesn’t like anyone who doesn’t share his hierarchical authoritarian worldview
-
Actually he is very libertarian. He explains the capitalist hierarchy via a merit based philosophy. It's the state interventionists and collectivists who are authoritarian. Orban is a collectivist from the right.
-
Identifying as a “libertarian” doesn’t make him any less of an authoritarian. He just means the world should be free for him to be in charge
-
Peterson is a mixed bag, but the arch villain so many on the left has turned him into doesn’t match the man. He is authoritarian in a few ways, but pretty liberal in others. To get right to the point, I don’t think gender studies should be banned, but am against tax payer funding
-
I don’t know that I would call him an “arch villain,” but he certainly is drawn to them. His natural instinct is to bully others he feels are below him on the hierarchy and suck up to those, so matter how noxious, who he regards as above him (eg, Orban)

The PC crowd says nothing is neutral - why shouldn't their opponents agree?

What are you on about?

Nonsense
