ABC Editorial Standards
The ABC exists for all Australians as an independent source of Australian stories and conversations.
Across radio, television and a range of online and mobile platforms, the ABC is committed to producing content that is relevant, trusted, diverse and high quality.
To help fulfil that commitment, the ABC has a set of editorial policies that cover everything we do, from news & current affairs to drama, music and entertainment. They set out the expectations for accuracy, impartiality, independence and a range of other standards.
By following the links below, you can find out more about those policies, see the ways in which we regularly review our content to ensure we are meeting our commitments and learn about our complaints process and how to make a complaint.
As Editorial Director of the ABC, I am responsible for helping to ensure we meet our editorial standards, and I write a regular blog about some of challenges and issues associated with that. You can find the latest blogs here.
