Junkee is Australia’s smartest and most original pop culture title. Junkee goes beyond the headline to give young Australians a fresh take on what’s going in their world. From movies to politics, TV to tech and everything in-between, Junkee covers a broad spectrum of topics from the things that really matter to the things that don’t.

Junkee is the flagship title of Junkee Media, the creators of leading music title inthemix, travel title AWOL (in partnership with Qantas) and The Cusp (in partnership with Westpac). Junkee is also comprised of Music Junkee, Politics Junkee and Video Junkee (home of all things screen culture).

In our first year of operation, Junkee was named the Media Brand of the Year at the Mumbrella Awards for our unique, opinionated, funny and intelligent take on popular culture. We strive to always add to the conversation not just the noise by creating content every day to inform, intrigue, provoke and occasionally make you laugh.

We love originality in our news and in our commentary and aim to create content that can start conversations, add something new to well-worn ones and encourage young Australians to look at old topics with fresh eyes.
