A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a car hit a tree and flipped onto its roof in Castlemaine. Emergency services were called to Barker Street about 11.05pm yesterday following reports of a single-vehicle crash. Police said the woman was cut out of the vehicle by SES. Paramedics took a woman aged in her 60s to Bendigo Health in a serious but stable condition. An air ambulance was initially requested, but was not required.
