21 May, Italy: Three comrades were arrested (“Prometeo” repressive operation)

Thursday, May 23rd, 2019

We learn of the arrest of anarchists comrades Natascia, Beppe and Robert, which took place on 21 May, 2019, and was carried out by the ROS of carabinieri as part of a repressive operation called “Prometeo” (“Prometheus”). Some searches have also been carried out. The regime’s media report that the main accusation is of “attack with the purpose of terrorism or subversion”, as they are considered responsible for sending three bomb packages arrived in June 2017 to the p. m. Rinaudo and Sparagna (the latter is the public prosecutor in the trial for the “Scripta manent” operation) and to Santi Consolo, at the time director of the DAP (“Department of Penitentiary Administration”) in Rome.

Waiting for more information we report the only address we know of:

“Capo di Ponte Theme Park” in Prada – Capo di Ponte (BS)

FRIDAY 26TH

13.00 lunch

14.30 Presentation of the meeting

15.00 In the temple of Janus. About the relationship between technology, exploitation and racism
For the Italics Janus had two faces: a bearded one depicting the sun and a beardless one depicting the moon. For the Romans, the sun and the moon soon became peace and war. The temple of Janus, in the Roman Forum, was closed in time of peace and open in time of war. Today the door of that temple is always closed because of the war and the unnamed of the present time. Embodied in the technological apparatus and its silent injunctions, war is the planetary movement of digital democracy. Racism is its “moment of truth”, in that it explicitly affirms what its machines have never stopped doing to the colonial peoples. The algorithm command prepares the chief’s orders. The abstraction from the body, from the earth, from nature produces the comfortable bulwark of national belonging and the desire to lynch the different as a backlash. What was experienced in the colonies goes back.

About the sentences in “Scripta Manent” trial and update on comrade Marco Bisesti (Italy)

Tuesday, May 14th, 2019

About the sentence in “Scripta Manent” trial:

On April 24, the Turin Assise Court issued the first instance sentence for the “Scripta Manent” trial (which followed the repressive operation for which five comrades had been arrested on September 6, 2016, and two others had received notification of pre-trial detention while they were already in prison for the attack against Roberto Adinolfi of May 7, 2012).

Alfredo was sentenced to 20 years, held responsible for the possession and transport of explosives in relation to the bomb in Parco Ducale near the Parma RIS (“scientific investigation department” of Carabinieri) of 24 October 2005 (acquitted of the crime of attack because “crime impossible” because the switch of the bomb was off), of the explosive envelope sent to the then mayor of Bologna Cofferati in 2 November 2005 (convicted of the bombing plus “possession and transportation of explosives”), of attacks with multiple explosive devices at the Carabinieri school of Fossano in June 2, 2006, and in the Crocetta district in Turin in 7 March 2007 (crime of “massacre aggravated by the fact that the goal would have been the police” and acquitted of the aggravating circumstance of political motivation), of sending explosive parcels to the then mayor of Turin (Chiamparino), to the editor of the newspaper “Torino Cronaca” (Giuseppe Fossati) and to COEMA Edilità (company involved in the restructuring of the CIE, “identification and expulsion center” for migrants) in July 2006. He is also indicated as promoter of the FAI (Federazione Anarchica Informale), recognized as a “subversive association with terrorism purposes”. The aggravating circumstance of transnationality has fallen. (more…)

Update about Operation “Renata”: 5 comrades were transferred to house arrest (Italy)

Saturday, May 11th, 2019

On May 9, five anarchist prisoners from February 19, 2019 following “Renata” repressive operation were transferred under house arrest. They are Agnese Trentin (who had recently been transferred to the AS2 prison section of L’Aquila), Giulio Berdusco, Roberto Bottamedi (who were detained in Tolmezzo), Andrea Parolari and Nicola Briganti (who were detained in Ferrara). Comrade Luca Dolce (known as “Stecco”) remains in prison because of other final sentences. While another comrade, Sasha, who was also arrested on 19 February and immediately placed under house arrest, had this last “precautionary measure” transformed into an obligation to stay and return home from 9.00 pm to 7.00 am, with the obligation to stay in the municipality of residence. The comrades were initially accused of “subversive association with the purpose of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order” (art. 270bis c. p., in four persons) and of “terrorist attack” (art. 280 c. p., all), plus other related crimes (“interruption of public service”, “damage”, “sabotage of telematic devices”, “fire” and “transport of explosive material”), because they are considered responsible for some direct actions taken in Trentino in the last two years. Subsequently the aggravating circumstance of terrorism fell, therefore the main accusation became of “subversive association” (art. 270 c. p.).

Here is the address of Stecco:

THREE DAYS AGAINST THE TECNO-SCIENCES 26-27-28 JULY 2019 Capo di Ponte (BS) – Italy

Tuesday, April 30th, 2019

The program will come soon
Today more than ever, we feel the necessity to organize a meeting involving comrades from different countries already engaged in a critique and in opposition to developments of techno-sciences. An important moment to exchange and share analyses, reflections and experiences, to reinforce criticism and refine one’s thinking even more in confrontation with other groups and individualities that have been pursuing for a long time paths of opposition to the developments of techno-sciences.

In the face of the aridity and degeneration of contemporary thought and the lack of awareness of the pervasive, totalizing and above all irreversible nature of techno-sciences, a lucid analysis of the present is needed on the reality that transforms itself and transforms us. (more…)

Italy : Text by Anarchist comrade Gioacchino Somma: Miserable wretches!

Sunday, April 28th, 2019

Everything was ready from the morning: journalists and live TV on the national channel…
A miserable judge in Turin, Roberto Sparagna, left no stone unturned in putting pressure on a gang of equally miserable individuals (jury led by judge Alessandra Salvadori).
A poor madman in search of fame after having moved from the anti-mafia prosecution to the terrorism one, he succeeded where other miserable colleagues of his had failed for decades: subversive association for the purposes of terrorism.

Already I see him in a few days’ time sitting on the Vespa armchairs in “Porta a Porta” [long-standing populist TV news show], along with some failed criminologist spouting off about anarchism and how it is divided into groups, smaller groups, good and bad and his heroic deeds against the F.A.I.-F.R.I. International Animal Liberation Gathering 2019 – Rome (Italy)

Sunday, April 21st, 2019

Rome, 26th-28th July 2019

An occasion to meet each other, to share analyses and skills and to discuss experiences and strategies in the fight against the oppression of animals and the destruction of their habitats. A fight that for us is part of the wider fight against every form of exploitation, oppression and authority, for total liberation.

This gathering wishes to connect individuals and small groups of like minded people working for animal liberation in a way that is radically different from that undertaken by the majority of animal right groups nowadays. Animal activist groups that lack wider politics, be it for political apathy or for well thought out choices, are becoming increasingly appealing to people with fascist, nationalist, sexist and racist views. Trentino, Italy: TV & Mobile Phone Tower Torched in Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners

Sunday, April 21st, 2019

Local newspapers have reported that a TV and mobile phone tower was set on fire in Terragnolo, in the Potrich (Trentino) area on April 16th at around 10PM. Painted slogans reading “Solidarity With Anarchist Prisoners”, “Stop Video Conferencing” (which replaces prisoner transfers to court hearings), “Stop Blocking Mail” and “The Spirit Continues” were found at the site.

Of the four incendiary bottles used to start the fire, only one managed to ignite the cables, the other three that were located inside the electrical transformers failed to ignite due to ‘lack of oxygen’ according to the carabiniers [paramilitary police] in charge of the investigation. A person who lived nearby spotted the flames from the street and notified the fire brigade, however they arrived to late to prevent many of the cables from burning. This location is also part of a region that has been selected to experience the 5G network in the near future.

Technicians were able to restore TV service during the night, however mobile phone reception is still not properly restored.

For a Subversive May 2019 In Solidarity with the Imprisoned Comrades in Italy

Wednesday, April 17th, 2019

Against All Authority and Repression!

In Turin and Trento, 14 people are accused of forming a subversive association, inciting crime, and possessing, manufacturing and transporting explosives to a public place. Furthermore, the operation “Scripta Manent”, where the public prosecutor’s office demands a total of 204 years in prison for the attacks of the Informal Anarchist Federation and the operation “Panico”, where 3 comrades are accused of having attacked a fascist library with an explosive device, is still running.

Those who have decided to oppose any domination in the social conflict must live with the constant uncertainty of sooner or later being held accountable for their own actions by the opponents of freedom and self-determination. The idea and the longing for a society liberated from exploitation and oppression cab then be nipped in the bud.

This is especially the case for the anarchist movement in Italy. This is being tackled by the state. The affected prisoners are to be buried alive in their cells with draconian sentences. Their accomplices and the solidarity environment unequivocally profess their permanent enmity against the regime with regard to their kidnapping. (more…)

Genoa, Italy: Arson Attack Against Poste Italiene

Wednesday, April 17th, 2019

“Many of our people died, but you could not destroy anarchy.
Its roots are too deep,
it was born in the bosom of a rotten society that is collapsing,
it is a violent reaction against the established order,
it represents the aspirations of freedom and equality
who come to break authoritarianism.
It is everywhere, which makes it indomitable,
and in the end it will end up winning and it will kill you.”

Ravachol

Governments of the past and present have succeeded with the murderous and neo-colonialist policies of neo-liberalism. When it comes to hostile reception of refugees or fueling xenophobia and racism, European countries and all Western governments have promoted and financed wars and created social destabilization where it is convenient to preserve the interests of the oil, arms and mineral trades. The consequences of these death policies are managed today with an iron fist resulting in the closure of borders and ports, deportations, murders at sea and arrests at the borders. (more…)

Davide Delogu transferred from Augusta to Rossano Calabro prison (Italy)

Wednesday, April 17th, 2019

The anarchist Sardinian comrade Davide Delogu was transferred from the Augusta prison (province of Syracuse, in Sicily) to that of Rossano Calabro (province of Cosenza, in Calabria). The address to which letters, telegrams, books, etc., can be sent is as follows:

Davide Delogu
c/o Casa di Reclusione di Rossano Calabro
Strada Statale 106 Jonica n. 32
87067 Corigliano-Rossano (Cosenza)
Italia (Italy)

From 11.03.2019 and during the month of March the comrade was on a hunger strike because the new director of the Augusta prison (Angela Lantieri) who had just arrived had immediately revoked the meeting permit that Davide makes with a Sardinian comrade (the only meeting he can currently do). He had also accompanied the strike with missed returns in the cell varying between 30 and 60 minutes and daily keystrokes in the cell.

Interview with Anarchist Comrade Alfredo Cospito from Ferrara Prison in Italy

Sunday, April 7th, 2019

The following text is from the second part of “Which international? Interview and dialogue with Alfredo Cospito from the Ferrara Prison,” part of a debate that some comrades are undertaking with imprisoned anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito, published in winter 2019 in the anarchist newspaper “Vitriol” in Italian.

Analyzing the history of the movement of the exploited, of the poor, oppressed and proletarians, we see that anarchist ideas are born, nourished and developed in these contexts; on the other hand, most of the anarchists also come from there (of course there are also exceptions). These ideas were born mainly during the birth and growth of industrial capitalism (indicatively from the early 1800s to the 1970s), and up to 40 years ago, the organizations of the exploited and of the workers are mainly mass and the anarchist groups (and the individuals who are part of them) are also the fruit of that historical era. With the advent of capitalist restructuring in the 1980s, followed by a drastic change in the world of work, even anarchist action and organization undergo changes; to the classic organizations of synthesis (or mass), the less rigid structures, based on affinity and informality, are opposed. The new technological restructuring, based mainly on robotics will obviously lead to other drastic changes (mass unemployment) and the new proletarians will probably be employed in moving goods. In this context, in which the impoverishment of the proletarians (and obviously the exploitation of humans, animals and land) and the wealth of the exploiters will increase, does it still make sense to talk about class struggle? Are there still margins to involve – in the struggle for the destruction of this techno-industrial civilization – the exploited, the proletarians, the excluded? Should we try or renew forms of struggle organization?

This question starts from logical assumptions by making the organizational method depend on external conditions. But, for us anarchists, it is not all so simple, linear and logical because, not being “politicians,” in our case, the “means justify the ends,” not vice versa. Consequently, if capitalism “restructures,” it must not change our way of “organizing ourselves” because it is in the means we use that our anarchy lives. (more…)
