Can you please tell our readers a little bit about yourself and how your Instagram came to be?

 

My name is Jessica and I am a New York based photographer and content creator. This was not always the case. I moved to NYC 5 years ago so I could have an easy commute to the South Bronx. Two and a half years ago I started @cheatdayeats as a hobby that allowed me to express my obsession over what I was going to eat on my cheat day. I always loved photography and taking pictures of my food so when I saw that there was a food community on Instagram, I knew I had to be a part of it. My account picked up a lot of traction and I was excited to see people were curious about where I was eating next! Today, my account has evolved to be an extension of my life and I love sharing it with my audience.

 

 

InstaMoments: What do you think is the main driver to people coming to your Instagram daily and following you?

@cheatdayeats is super relatable and people come to my page to see over the top drool-worthy posts that will inspire them during their next meal. I also think they come to my page because they know they can trust my opinions on where to eat and travel to next. I find my audience often speaks to me as a friend, and I love having that relationship with them.

 

InstaStories: What is the main story you like to tell through your images?

With each picture or video, I want to inspire my audience to have the same experience I am having at that moment. Whether it be indulging in a dish at a beautiful restaurant or traveling across the country to eat a cheeseburger in bed. These experiences bring me so much happiness and I want my followers to have those experiences too.

 

InstaFans: What is the worst way for someone to try and get your attention on Instagram, and what is the best way?

Worst way– DMing me creepy pictures

Best way– posting a picture of somewhere they went because I inspired them to go there with one of my own pictures or videos.
