This is super interesting in light of what showed in the UK re chicken factory runoff, would be great to read or hear an analysis of the successful campaign strategy to get EPA to change to see if anything from US situation could inform tactics here

We voted for this over my lifetime over and over again. We voted for the rich to get outrageously rich and for public services like ambulance, fire, police, hospitals, libraries, schools, public toilets, public transport etc etc to wither. We voted to pay less tax. We did this.

How? They can’t control ventilation in classrooms, they can’t have their children vaccinated, they aren’t allowed to have their children in bubbles anymore, there is no mask mandate. And they have no legal right to withdraw their children from school on a temporary basis.

Just seen another report on lack of supermarket produce because of ‘supply chain problems’ without mentioning Brexit. Imagine them reporting on ‘fire safety issues’ in 1940 without mentioning the Blitz. Orwell based his concept of Newspeak on his time at the BBC

Paris is investing £225m to transform the iconic but car-choked Champs-Élysées Avenue into an “extraordinary garden.” Across the city 140K on-street parking spaces will be removed for people-space. Bold city-building leadership from & team.
