Correct. Undermining the rule of law, rampant human rights abuses, creation of an external ‘enemy’ to generate fear, removal of fundamental rights and freedoms are all hallmarks of fascism through history. This has to be called out and named up so it can be defeated.

This government continues to plumb new depths of inhumanity. How could they treat a child this way?

How about Australia ⁦.⁩ Things are getting pretty desperate for the 2000 or so men women and children - yes babies too. We trafficked them to Nauru, Manus and have kept them there for nearly 5 yrs. thread

This article was written three years ago on IHMS and the doctor in Manus & Nauru. It gives you a clearer image of the role this company has played in the history of these camps and their torturing methods.

Very strange tweet. Who's saying doctors and nurses on Nauru and Manus are doing incredible work?Imprisoned refugees know your heroes contribute to systematic torture. Not a personal attack on Dr Martin but see the bigger picture, they're just part of this cruel system

What a great embarrassment for Australia as a member of the UN Human Rights Council. In only one minute, Daniel Webb portrays the real image of the Australian government for the international community.

The heartbreak and misery caused by Peter Dutton is almost beyond words. Offshore detention is a stain on our national conscience.

These days the refugee camps in Lorengau are placed under curfew. This situation is against PNG’s Supreme Court that their detention was unconstitutional. This week tens of Australian officers arrived in Manus again to impose these regulations on refugees.

Thank you Huffington Post-US for publishing this article today; a comparison of the US and Australia in the context of separating children from parents. Here I emphasise Australia's barbaric policies over the last five years.

BREAKING: The Senate has just backed a Greens motion to overturn these changes. It’s heartening to see the Senate hold the line against some of Peter Dutton’s attacks on multicultural Australia.

This is a notice by the Immigration on Manus island, ordering that the refugees are not allowed to leave their camps after 6pm. This is against the PNG court order.
