A great, diligent article depicting the climate of fear & repression already reigning in Bolsonaron's Brazil, with a focus on the LGBT Congressman who fled his own country in fear of his life (my husband took his place). It's hard to convey for those who don't experience it:https://twitter.com/Travis_Waldron/status/1130114693920624640 …

He's not saying that. He's saying it's important to keep the threat in perspective & not be alarmist about it so politicians can't exploit it. Your smears of him are exactly like those used by neocons against those of us who warn not to exaggerate threats of Muslim terrorism.

The idea that CVille was a one off, and that Heather Heyer was the only one attacked that day is ridiculous. Come down from your walled compound and cover the Klan rally happening next week in Dayton.

There have been a large number of mass murders on US soil by Muslims- beginning with 9/11, through Pulse, and all kinds in between. I lived in NYC & know people who died on 9/11. Pulse was devastating for LGBTs. Those who exploit that to exaggerate that threat are grotesque.

So are you disagreeing with Tracey that it was a one-off
-
Seems that he must disagree with the FBIs take that the number of white nationalist terror attacks in the USA far outnumbered any of the other ones that happened. But Glenn works more on emotions than anything else, especially as he doesn't actually cover anything, just critiques
-
Yeah, I totally need a coddled straight white liberal like you living in the US lecturing me about the real threats of fascism, authoritarianism, and political violence aimed at minorities and dissidents. Teach me about this, brave rebelhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGQ-dFt5Wgk …

I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about actually covering the thing that you feel fit to comment on... telling people who are actually on the ground covering it in person. I'm quite certain a famous prick like you gets a lot more death threats than me.
-
Any time you want to compare either the levels of dangers we face from the rise of bigoted nationalism & extremism, or the amount of work we do covering & reporting on what we write about, let me know. Minimizing the dangers we face in Brazil with this idiocy is beyond ignorant:pic.twitter.com/nhojjMdoRm

Denial and diminishment are how toxic ideologies thrive. Tracey is making a habit of being wrong.

Hes only following Greenwald's example.

Do you think they are scared themselves, particularly Greenwald who may be understanding what brown children in white supremacy land is ? Plus seeing their careers upholding white supremacy having consequences plus as time goes on we're more onto them , creating consequences?

you seem desperate to paint the situation in the USA as EXACTLY THE SAME as that in Brazil, India, Hungary, Russia -- why is that?
