I realized the war in Iraq was wrong while I was deployed there in 2006 - 2007. Upon returning to United States, I already knew I did not want to be part of another unjust occupation, so I began looking into fleeing to Canada as many people did during the Vietnam War. It was during this search that I stumbled upon IVAW. I signed up immediately and I was soon contacted by an IVAW organizer.
