Joel Santiago

I am a 31 year old Iraq war veteran. I joined the Army in 1999. At the time I believed it was an honorable thing to do. I had felt that I owed something to my country, and so I was easily sold on the idea that the war in Iraq was a just war. I was glad to serve my country. Obviously I was wrong. It wasn't till I was there on the ground that I learned the true motives behind that war and probably all wars prior. That is money, greed, and control. Ever since then I have been educating myself through reading and through watching only independent media online.
