Excellent establishment from the food to the staff and service. I had the Filet Mignon with a Crab C...ake addition and it was delicious and the best steak I have ever had. I had never really had French Onion soup before and this one looks great and tasted even better than I could have imagined. The dessert room is fantastic as well! We’ve been going there since 1972! Over 40 years. Every so often we make the trip from Stuart FL ov...er for a special dinner ....about 200 miles.
We weren’t disappointed this time. Kelly, our waitress has been with Bern’s in her position over 14 years.....her first job there was sweeping floors. So many wait people have been there so long.
We dined I what was originally the bar and first dining room they had.
Dinner:
We shared their steak tartare which was absolutely excellent. Hubby ordered creamed spinach as usual. Then, unbeknownst to us, they served a small onion soup with plenty of a delicious blend of cheese, and very nice salad with carrots,avocado,egg,cheese,greens, and a few other vegetables . Also a loaded baked potato came too. These were all included not as in the past a la cart.
Two inch porter house with light crust very rare awas excellent! Too full so we skipped desert this time. Also we had done kitchen and wine tour several times so we skipped that too.
Expensive yes. A true experienced of dining. Negatively we did not like being charged $5.00 for parking and then a tip on top of that.
Kinda hard to get to but well worth the trip. GO!! Ещё
