Give me my tax dollars back
-
-
-
Not at all. I just prefer my tax dollars for myself rather than wasted on media. You want it, go for your life, and you pay for your own media.
-
If you really want that then don't pay tax.
-
No. I'm happy paying tax for important services. Media is not important however. So I ask SBS and ABC for my tax dollars back quite often.
-
Your opinion.
-
Thanks for respecting it, have a great night.

Why are my taxes being used for propaganda?
-
Showing diversity isn't propaganda.
-
Not lying.
-
Diversification is a political project. So is homosexual parenthood. They're controversial, too. Material promoting those ideas is propaganda. Propaganda isn't a dirty word, but using tax money for it is a dirty deed.
-
Why are they controversial?
-
It doesn't matter why. It's a fact that they are.
-
Because you say so?

Why are our taxes going towards this and why has SBS set up a sexuality Twitter account? (Sexuality to the left is homosexuality, transsexuality, and bestiality not heterosexuality).

Usually this kind of progressive BS I find annoying but then I remember no one watches SBS anyway, especially not for the kids programing, so meh.

Just simply why? This is the same as if you had a classroom of 100 kids and you decide to build the entire class plan around the needs of 2 of them. Does that sound like the logical way to approach it.
-
It's the kind of show that could be beneficial for all kids. Not just those with same sex parents. Anyway, I don't see how creating ONE show like this suddenly diminishes all the other kids shows that don't involve this kind of content
-
How is this kind of show beneficial for all kids? and its not just ONE show, this is creeping into many kids shows as well as early education across the board. This topic requires no more than an hour to discuss, in total.
-
No more than an hour to discuss? If that were the case we wouldn't be even having this conversation. Your ignorance is astounding. Do we only teach children about the things that directly affect them? No. And gladly so as they'd all turn out as single minded as you
-
You clearly dont have children, "Ok kids today we are going to learn to that some kids have 2 daddies or 2 mummies, hardly any but a small few, ok now onto maths." What needs to be added? Do you think small kids can comprehend anything more than this? No they cant.
-
It's not necessarily about sitting them down to have a lengthy complex discussion, but about normalising it. It's this kind of thing that will help eradicate homophobia in the future. With your logic we might as well not feature any type of relationship in kids shows. Friendship
-
Is a big theme in kids media. I guess we better not teach that, cause they're not going to understand right
-
Friendship, kids with a mum and dad, these are things nearly every kid deals with on a daily basis, gay parents isnt, its rare, kids dont care about that stuff. At that age do you recall ever thinking about your or anyone else parents in the context of what relationship there in
