Genuine question. How do they not have a voice in the constitution? 1967 referendum included them in the population so shouldn’t they have just as much of a voice as the rest of us, as Australians? Or do they want their own voice? Which is reconciliation by segregation.
-
Exactly right. Every Australian of voting age already has a voice. The idea to give certain people more of a voice depending on their race is simple racist.

Marcia
@marcialangton explained it last night on#QandA . The constitution is currently excluding Indigenous Australians. Recognition in the constitution would be a rightful restoration, not an extra privilege. -
It’s not excluding anyone. It’s currently representing all Australians as equals not depending on race.

When i visited Uluru i refused to climb, rather i went on an indigenous tour and was explained about the significance of it by the traditional land owners - much more satisfying and enlightening
#ConstitutionalRecognition -
We walked round the base ourselves this weekend and some children from the Mutitjulu Community started telling us the stories behind distinctive markings of Uluru. We were so lucky they happened to be playing and were willing to share with us.

They also climbed Uluru. In fact they climbed and had no issue with visitors climbing until 1991 management plan. Pic shows Mitjenkeri Mick, Lou Borgelt and Tiger Tjalkalyirri at summit in 1946. Restored Borgelt film by Lutheran Archives

This is brilliant (but I reckon the bloke would insist on Ayers Rock on his T-shirt - there’s a lot still around who think like that).

I worked with one when I was a public servant, and corrected him loudly every single time. Oh and he wasn't racist because he worked in Alice Springs for a year.
-
Yep. That’s the one.

I tried with this dude on EVERY level. He was one of the most ignorant fkn people I have ever met. I'm going to stop thinking about him now because it makes me too mad, and I'm already pretty fkn mad, all the time.

I think the equivalent for the Aboriginal man's T-shirt should be "And I urinated in your communion wine."

Why does any race need to be deemed more equal by getting a voice in the constitution. We are all Australians are we not

Great cartoon. But isn’t it a voice in Parliament?

You cannot oppress the minorities in this day and age. Grow up and give them their rights and due respect. How
#aborigines were killed, torchered, poisoned enmass should be part of history lessons in every Christian school because most of it happened in the name of#religion.Děkujeme. Twitter tuto informaci použije ke zlepšení vaší časové osy. VrátitVrátit
