Netflix acquires two award-winning Cannes films

The streaming giant acquired the distribution rights to the Grand Prix winner, Atlantics, and I Lost My Body, which took home the Cannes Critics’ Week Award. Some fans questioned the decision after earlier acquisitions by Netflix received underwhelming releases.

I seem to remember Netflix buying another one of my favorites from Cannes last year (Romain Gavras’ THE WORLD IS YOURS) and then releasing it with zero fanfare, sure hope they decide to give a shit this time around

Same thing happened to HAPPY AS LAZARRO, probably my favorite film of 2018. You'd think Netflix would want to show off these shiny Cannes winners on the home page, right?
