"Wat doe je nou, scheidsrechter?"

I just love that, the clearance gives him the perfect reprieve to not allow this, yet he still chooses to signal the goal. Fantastic

No celebration. He must have played for the other team before

It’s not his job to get out of the way, it’s the players job to put the ball in the right place (not out of play, to an opponent or at the ref) the ref however has no business whatsoever being on that spot and narrowing the players options in such a dangerous position.

It is clearly a goal according to rules, but question to be ask about positioning of the refferee, what the hack he doing there, 5 yard in front of the goal. 🤔

The law on the ball hitting the ref changes next Saturday - from that point it's a dropped ball (anywhere on the pitch). So you will never see this kind of comedy again!

New addition to Law 9: "The ball is out of play when: ... it touches a match official, remains on the field of play and: ... the ball goes directly into the goal ... In all these cases, play is restarted with a dropped ball."
