Leftwards with John Corzine

Friday, November 30th, 2012

Urban Future tells us:

When the Right attains power, it is by becoming something other than itself, betraying its partisans not only incidentally and peripherally, through timidity or incompetence, but centrally and fundamentally, by practically advancing an agenda that almost perfectly negates its supposed ideological commitments. It builds that which it had promised to destroy, and further enthralls that which it had promised to liberate. Its victories mean ever less, its defeats ever more. To win is at most a lesser evil, whilst to lose opens new, unprecedented horizons of calamity, initiating previously unimagined adventures in horror.

The left theoretically wants equality, but, predictably, its unending victories cause ever more extreme and brutal inequality, as socialism somehow strangely manifests as crony capitalism. Soak the rich – except, of course, for friends of Obama. The ensuing social injustice results in louder cries to soak the rich. (more…)

The median voter

Sunday, November 25th, 2012

Heartiste’s usually wise, insightful, and excellent blog has a pile of silly advice: What A Future American Right Party Can Do To Win

A future American right party cannot win.  You win by winning over the median voter, or, equivalently, the modal swinging voter.

The median voter or modal swinging voter in this election was someone who is single, fatherless, partly on welfare, if female a slut, if male frequently a minor criminal belonging to protected minority.   A party that appeals to white sluts on welfare and non white criminals on welfare is not likely to be terribly right wing.

The end state of democracy is that you get 51% of the voters living on their votes and lashing out at the productive more and more cruelly.

The end state of the left wing singularity is infinite leftism in finite time, as an ever more pious priesthood ignores democracy to impose ever more brutally left policies.  (more…)

Doubtless you have all seen this before, but it needs repeating, (and it is free content, being long out of copyright)

Governor Bradford, repeatedly re-elected governor of the Puritan settlement tells us in his journal “Of Plymouth Plantation”: (more…)

Puritanism and purity

Friday, November 23rd, 2012

As I have said before, the Imperialists were the original anticolonialists, starting out as the British antislavery movement, but, going back further, following the brilliant research of Moldbug, the Puritans were the original leftists.  (more…)

Military incapacity illustrated

Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

Shortly after my post “Military Incapacity”, a few hundred Tutsi rebels evicted the “Congolese Army” (poorly equipped black Cathedral third world armed forces) and seventeen thousand “United Nations International Peace Keepers” equipped with helicopter gunships and suchlike (better equipped and not quite so black Cathedral Armed forces) from the city of Goma in the Congo.

This a straightforward conflict between a minority less inferior black race, and a majority inferior black race, with the Cathedral, naturally, backing the inferiors.  The inferiors were in the way of efficient extraction of mineral resources, in that their intolerable crime levels disrupted  productivity, hence the need to evict Cathedral forces so that order could be imposed and commerce proceed. Don’t know much about history

Wednesday, November 21st, 2012

Supposedly we are ruled by the cognitive elite, but, strikingly, when compared to the elite of a  century ago, they don’t know much about history, don’t know much biology, don’t know much about a science book, don’t know much about the french they took.

The members of the old elite would casually make interlingual puns, erudite references to ancient history and to the latest science of their day.   I am not seeing this from our current elite.

I saw on television a US spokesman piously calling for a cease fire in Gaza  “Israel requires an end to rocket attacks, Hamas requires an end to the state of siege and and end to attacks on Hamas personnel”

“What,” I thought, “does the state department hire the mentally retarded?” (more…)

Military incapacity

When Europe attempted to intervene in the Balkans, the result was shameful and ridiculous.  European armies, it seemed, could do nothing.

The ludicrous weakness of Europe is an attractive nuisance.  There is a lot of women and loot sitting around undefended.  That cannot continue forever.  It might continue for a very long time, or might end suddenly very soon.

The English speaking countries, particularly American and the Australians, have remained more effective than most of Europe.  Britain, (and perhaps Canada) not so much.  I have seen a few you tube videos of British police responding to rioting “youths”, and rioting Muslims in manner that was cowardly, ridiculous, and shameful.  In Basra and the Persian Gulf, British forces suffered shameful, ridiculous, and humiliating defeats and surrenders.  The British humiliation in Basra was repeated in Helmand province of Afghanistan, where three thousand British troops were defeated and besieged by what turned out, when the US marines arrived to rescue those girly men, to be a mere eight hundred Taliban. Google and Facebook competing for an Obama cabinet slot

Big corporations get bigger while smaller businesses disappear. Most regulation is impossible to comply with, and is intended to be impossible to comply with. You “comply” with it by getting favors from the state exempting you from compliance.

Google is evil

Google tells us

Like other technology and communications companies, Google regularly receives requests from government agencies and courts around the world to hand over user data.

Note that “government agencies and courts”. No warrant needed.

Google … provides government agencies with e-mail communications, documents, browsing activity, IP addresses used to create an account and other data when asked.

Google is evil

The official story for the shafting of General Petraeus is that:

Central Intelligence Agency Director David Petraeus resigned after a probe into whether someone else was using his email led to the discovery that he was having an extramarital affair, according to several people briefed on the matter.

A Federal Bureau of Investigation inquiry into use of Mr. Petraeus’s Gmail account led agents to believe the woman or someone close to her had sought access to his email, the people said.

All emails directly to and from Google’s server are encrypted, unless they pass through a non google server. But they are kept forever in the clear on Google’s servers, and searched by the world’s greatest AI. So the only entity that could suspect that someone else was using his email is Google, which would normally react by automatically or semi automatically contacting general Petraeus by phone, not the FBI.

So, looks like Google ratted him out

And since when do government officials lose their jobs for extramarital affairs? Looks to me that someone wanted to get rid of General Petreaus, perhaps to replace him with someone even further left, and asked Google for whatever dirt they had on him, and an extramarital affair was the best they could come up with.
