Australia wins the right to remain white.

Friday, September 27th, 2013

Since Europe has been flooded with non whites, Australia is close to being the whitest remaining country, possibly is the whitest remaining country.   This is of course illegal under international law – since the Cathedral writes international law.

The Cathedral holds that international law requires that if a boatload of third worlders shows up, the first world country where they show up has to take care of them and put them on welfare for the rest of their lives.  (It is more complicated than that, and different rules apply to America, but that is the practical effect in Australia and Europe.)

This international law has been seriously getting up the noses of Australians.  The newly elected Australian government announced a new policy:  That boatloads of illegal immigrants would be taken back to the land from whence they came. (more…)

Putin deals with Civil Disobedience

Friday, September 27th, 2013

When someone claims to be engaging in “Civil Disobedience” he means “We are the state. You have to obey our laws, but we do not have to obey our own laws.”

Observe that Bill Ayers, Obama’s bomb making pal, never spent a day in jail despite having organized the bombing of numerous buildings to “protest the war” – actually of course, he was a state department proxy making war on the Pentagon, hence, no jail time. If you try bombing the Pentagon to protest the latest erroneous drone strike, you will get a big surprise.

But when state department proxies committed acts of piracy against Putin’s state, they got a big surprise too.

Greenpeace has committed trespass, vandalism, and piracy on the high seas all over the world, acts that a hundred years ago would have resulted in them hanging from yardarm, and have never received any real punishment. Until now.

Take a look at the expressions on their faces.  They are thinking

“Hey, surely they cannot charge us with piracy on the high seas just because we engaged in piracy on the high seas, can they?  Can they?”

Please Putin, please, hang them from the yardarm.

Google is evil

Tuesday, September 24th, 2013

With phones becoming more capable, an obvious way to make money was to create and sell a suite of productivity apps, so Quickoffice, the company, produced Quickoffice, the product, to allow you to edit your Microsoft Office documents on your phone, which product they sold very cheaply. Quickoffice, the company, sold lots and lots of copies of Quickoffice the product. They rapidly became the leading productivity phone app, with three hundred million installs.

Google, the company, purchased Quickoffice, the company, and made Quickoffice, the product, free. How very nice of them. What, you may ask, does Google get out of supplying Quickoffice for free? (more…)

On Fractional Reserve Banking

Thursday, September 19th, 2013

Fractional Reserve Banking is not the problem.  Term Transformation is the problem. Australia and Singapore ban substantial term transformation, came through the recent financial crisis without problems.  (more…)

Capitalism dead in the USA, live in China.

After ordering Pax fired for political incorrectness, Anil, who simultaneously holds both governmental and private enterprise positions, is both regulator and regulator, dispenser of government funds and recipient of government funds, has a talk with Pax.

I was pretty amazed that he went for it. He flat out said that he wants his startup to be funded and wasn’t sure if it’d be possible after all of his, and I replied that it realistically wasn’t going to happen without the say-so of someone like me, and I wasn’t inclined to give some VC the nod on this.

So, these days, the merely wealthy need a nod from the likes of Anil, the powerless need to run all their decisions past the powerful.

The loyalty oath

Monday, September 16th, 2013

Reactionaries are wondering how to gain power – gain power against the existing Cathedral, with its no limit credit card, horde of purchased voters, and an increasingly unhappy but loyal army.

I don’t see that as a problem. I see chaos coming.  Power will fall into the street, hot, radioactive, dangerous, and desired, to be picked up first by one group, then another, each new pair of hands slippery with the blood of innocents, after the fashion of the Arab spring.  So, here, I address the topic of keeping power, of making normality stable, after some lengthy period of horrifying chaos driven by fanatical utopians. NIST curves backdoored

Tuesday, September 10th, 2013

Gregory Maxwell on the Tor-talk list has found that NIST approved curves, which is to say NSA approved curves, were not generated by the claimed procedure, which is a very strong indication that if you use NIST curves in your cryptography, NSA can read your encrypted data.

So don’t use anything NIST approved. (more…)

Northwest passage

Monday, September 9th, 2013

I have not been doing much global warming blogging lately, since that seems to be an area, where, like socialism, everyone knows the ruling elite is lying, and their continued lying only embarrasses them.    When the climategate files came out, we had documentary proof that all the conspiracy theories about official science were true.  Indeed the concept of the Cathedral, which is a loose coalition of many small conspiracies that in effect act like a vast conspiracy, owes much to what was revealed in the climategate files.

But, in response to the news that the Northwest passage never opened this year:

For as long as people have been searching for the Northwest passage, they have found that it sometimes opens in summer, sometimes remains closed, and sometimes opens briefly and closes unexpectedly, trapping whoever was trying to use it.  That the Northwest passage has recently been open in summer, and has recently been closed in summer, is true for as far back as we have records.

RDRAND

Sunday, September 8th, 2013

Cryptography needs random numbers, numbers unpredictable to an adversary. Computers are built to be as non random as possible, so this is a problem.  Intel created an instruction, RDRAND, that supposedly creates a random number on each read.

This instruction appears to be backdoored by the NSA. (more…)

How not to be spied on

Saturday, September 7th, 2013

It looks as though the major NSA tricks are:

  • Taking over routers using tricks similar to those botnet operators use to take over individual computers.
  • Twisting the arms of major corporations to backdoor their products and share information, for example Skype.
  • Encouraging the adoption of flawed cryptography with hidden backdoors through its standards arm, NIST.
  • Taking over individual computers using tricks similar to those of botnet operators. However they do not take over most people’s computers, since doing so indiscriminately on a large scale would get them caught and people would adopt methods to protect their computers, as against botnet operators.

Supposing this to be so, the software published by Guardian is likely to be fairly spy resistant, among them Ostel, a secure skype replacement. (more…)
