Radek is free! New court date announced (Netherlands)
Friday, May 3rd, 2019
April 30: Today was the pro forma hearing for the court case of Radek, a Polish worker who had been in custody for over six months in the detention centre in Alphen aan den Rijn. 15 comrades, of who some from Poland were there today to show solidarity.
Radek is suspected to have walked in to the Polish embassy and pour gasoline over himself, drawing attention to the inhumane situation that Polish employees in the Netherlands find themselves trapped in.
During the court case today, Radek spoke briefly about the situation he and other Polish employees in the Netherlands find themselves in. They are structurally underpaid. There is a constant threat from the employment agency to lose their job and home. Even if they cannot work due to sickness, these threats are hanging over their heads. (more…)

Greece: Court of Appeal Trial Against Revolutionary Struggle Continues
Wednesday, April 17th, 2019
At 9:30AM on Friday, April 12th, the trial in the Court of Appeals against Revolutionary Struggle will continue at the special courthouse in Korydallos Prison.
It is worth noting that the prosecutor, as well as condemning the actions and communiques of Revolutionary Struggle, admitted during his speech that the attack by the Revolutionary Struggle cell COMMANDO LAMBROS FOUNDAS against the Bank of Greece, could have led to the overthrow of the government and had negatively affected the economy, tourism and investment.
The goal of the Prosecutor’s Office is to ensure that the sentences do not change, including those of Nikos Maziotis and Pola Roupa who received life imprisonment for the explosive attack against the Bank of Greece in Athens that was carried out in response to the policies of 2 of the three Troika institutions- the ECB and the IMF. Revolutionary Struggle claimed responsibility for this action on April 10th, 2014. At the next trial (we will announce the date once it is known) the decision of the Court of Appeal will be delivered.

The court trial in the case of the “anarchist terrorist community” Network got underway in St. Petersburg. Viktor Filinkov, a 24-year-old programmer, and Yuli Boyarshinov, a 27-year-old industrial climber, have been charged with involvement in Network. Federation Council member Lyudmila Narusova, who attended the hearing, pointed out the “ability to throw grenades,” which the prosecution included in the evidence against the defendants, was taught officially to members of the patriotic youth movement Yunarmiya.
“This case has nothing to do with the rule of law,” Narusova noted.
Filinkov and Boyarshinov’s case is being tried in St. Petersburg by the Moscow District Military Court. In January, the same court sentenced Igor Shishkin, who made a deal with case investigators, to three and a half years in prison. Subsequently, the FSB placed Network on the Russian federal list of banned organizations. (more…)

Freedom for Radek! (Netherlands)
Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019
Our friend Radek, has been held in custody, in the Netherlands, for 5 months now. He was charged with attempted arson at the Polish embassy, which carries a sentence of up to 12 years in jail. Radek – just as many other workers on emigration – had dealt with exploitation by the employers, on a daily basis. Exploitation, unfair pay, unpaid overtime, atrocious living conditions – the realities of work in the West. Radek had tried to solve those problems in a less radical matter. He had given a shot by going public with it, informing the media, executing his rights. None of it helped. Eventually, he took a brave step forward. He went to the Polish embassy in The Hague, with a can full of gas and a lighter. He then informed, that he would burn the place and asked for people inside the building to be evacuated. In reality: springs from the lighter were taken out, so as to make sure, that starting a fire wouldn’t be possible. (more…)

Secours Rouge Members Testify in Defense of Revolutionary Struggle (Greece)
Thursday, March 28th, 2019
Two members of Secours Rouge International testified in defense of Revolutionary Struggle at the trial of anarchist prisoners Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis in Athens.
The following is a statement by Secours Rouge:
“It was with great joy that we again met Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis, the imprisoned fighters of the Revolutionary Struggle organization this morning in Athens. Two Secretaries of Secours Rouge International have testified at the trial to defend “Revolutionary Struggle,” the legitimacy of its political-military strategic project, and the means that the organization has set itself to implement its objectives. Our delegates stressed that revolution is not merely a utopia since it is already a reality in Rojava. To the judge’s question “When will the violence end?”, our delegate returned the question “When will your class violence stop?””

Andalucia: Two comrades sentenced in Arraijanal (Spain)
Saturday, March 23rd, 2019
On February 2018, Arraijanal, one of the last parts of natural beach on the coast of Andalucia (Spanish state), was squatted to protect it from the attempt of environmental destruction in order to build a football stadium and sports town on this area. Some centenary trees were cut down and the area was fenced in, but that didn’t stop the activists from establishing a permanent protest camp.
This protest camp have been evicted several times, but our comrades managed to reoccupy it and keep the struggle during six months, and for now the building works have been stopped.
On May 24th, two comrades involved in this project got arrested while the police was trying to remove banners and camping material from the occupation. That resulted in a court case in which they are accused of resistance, offense against authority and bodily harm to the cops proceeding this arrest. (more…)

Scripta Manent Trial Statement by Comrade Gioacchino Somma (Italy)
Thursday, March 14th, 2019
Two years after the beginning of this trial, which I am facing with my comrades, anarchist brothers and sisters, and after letting the prosecutor speak, with a sick fantasy that does not surprise anyone, today more than ever I reaffirm with even more force the fact that I am an anarchist, an individualist and an insurrectionist.
Having read thousands of pages of court files, written by the different inquisitors of Turin and Naples, has made me even more convinced that it is better to sometimes have problems with justice, rather than for it to agree with you.
I keep my ideas, which you do not like because they aim at the destruction of everything that has to do with your miserable world.
If I could have chosen, I would never have been born, but others chose for me and I was only able to live in this world in my own way. I will never be part of the herd to which you dictate the path of grazing… I am different. I prefer to leave the trails and walk with the wolves. (more…)

Text read in solidarity to anarchists under trial following Scripta Manent operation (Italy)
Sunday, February 24th, 2019
[Below in French and Italian / Sotto in francese ed italiano].
Text read in solidarity to anarchists under trial following Scripta Manent operation.
On Monday 11 February in the bunker hall of the Turin prison a large group of comrades expressed their solidarity with the anarchists on trial following the “Scripta manent” operation (6.09.2016). Roberto Sparagna (the public prosecutor in the trial) was unable to take a word to formulate his indictment. After several slogans and the reading of the following text, the Court interrupted the hearing. The courtroom was evicted through the intervention of the riot squads. During the protest, solidarity was expressed to all the anarchists arrested and on trial during this period, following the repressive operations “Scripta Manent”, “Panico” and “Scintilla”, and against the eviction of Asilo Occupato in Turin.
Freedom for all prisoners! Long live anarchy!

‘We are all Co-offenders!’ – News from the trial in Basel, Switzerland
Friday, February 22nd, 2019
Today, Friday 25th January 2019, 15 of the 18 defendants in the “Basel”-process have been found guilty of willful damage of property, actual bodily harm, breach of the peace, multiple acts of violence, threats against public authorities and officials and breach of the traffic laws. The preposterous sentence ranges from 20 months conditionally to two years, up to 27 months unconditionally. Thereby the three judges of the criminal court of Basel city followed the claims of the prosecution in most parts. Some persons even had to pay an additional fine of 200,000 Swiss franks for the violation of the ban on wearing face coverings, as well as individual fines – between five and ten daily fines in lieu of jail time – for insults, violation of the gun control law, trespassing or hindrance to an offical act.
The amounts of the fines seems even more preposterous in the light of the court rating various charges of the prosecution as unfulfilled (e.g. multiple attempted severe assaults, raids or disturbances against the public transport). The main cause therefor was, that the court held on to the controversial construct of co-offendership – for all to bear the blame equally – and in their verdict supported this intensified interpretation. Italy : Updates on the ‘Scripta Manent’ trial
Thursday, December 13th, 2018
At the hearing on 14th November a calendar of future hearings was once again announced after the expert appointed by the court to transcribe phone tapping asked for more time, obtained a 60-day extension and a second expert was also appointed. The prosecutor made it known that the judicial police had forgotten to deliver a CD audio and asked for an extension of the custody measures, but for the moment a calendar was set out complying with the length of custody… which is due to expire at the end of February (taking account of the 30/35 hearings till now, from mid-January the deadline slides to 18th February, plus some more days considering the hearings due in January). During the hearing of 14th, a DNA expert appointed by the court following Capra (DNA expert for the defence)’s report, gave his statement; the expert for the defence had challenged the reliability of the old report in several points.
