    These visual will hurt India’s image for a very long time... This is among India’s best known public intellectuals worldwide, and this is in Bengaluru, our most globalized city... Somebody has to be NUTS to do this... Brand India is being made to fray, super-quick..

    Sanjay Dutt was exonerated of any involvement in the Mumbai Bomb Blast. He served 6 years in jail for owning a gun he never used to harm anyone. How much time have your beloved leaders served for their heinous crimes? When you don't have something right to say its best to SHUT UP

    Here. Muslims have been given citizenship in the past and will continue to be given. Simply said the rules for citizenship by naturalization has been eased for minorities in the three nations.

    'Rightful' minority is something I used. The act says 'Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi or Christian'. Can't be more specific than that. The act has NO relation to NRC. That's the fear-mongering. How can simply giving citizenship to people be linked to deportation?

    What is a ‘rightful’ minority? Does the act define that? Also, how does the act define a ‘Hindu’. How does this interact with NRC which will be done afterwards? The timelines for that? Would be good if the gov /experts could clarify?

    The only change is that RIGHTFUL minorities have been bundled into a group. Those living in India before 31 December 2014 can apply for citizenship under the CAA. Individually ANYONE can apply. Giving someone more rights and not taking away any from others ISN'T discrimination.

    Hence, the Citizenship Amendment Act is one of INCLUSION, and let alone taking away rights of Indian Muslims it doesn't even deny the chance for persecuted Muslims in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to take citizenship by naturalization!

    100 persecuted. 80 Hindus. 10 Sikhs. 3 Christians. 2 Buddhists. 5 Muslims. Before: All eligible for citizenship if they resided in India for at least 11 years. Now: Requirement for 95 (minorities) is reduced to not less than 6 years. Muslims CAN STILL APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP.

    CAA is a life jacket. NRC is everyone being pushed out of the plane as they have to prove themselves all over again. But Muslims don’t get the life jacket. Distributing life jackets is not the problem. Giving them only to a few and pushing everyone off the plane is.

    Lol. Do you even know what Kashmir saw? And a large part of India is peaceful. UK, Himachal, Gujarat, MP, etc., anything happened there? As far as concerns are concerned with respect to CAA, they are nothing but LIES. Crowds are gathering after being told they'll be DEPORTED.

    Are they going to turn entire India into Kashmir because none should raise their voice no matter how legitimate?
