On 2 January 2018, the Transport Workers Union (SUTCRA) realized a strike to advance pressure for concrete gains before the Wage Council. During the strike, a “scab” got in between our comrade Marcelo Silvera and his family with a result that is now known to everyone - our comrade was assassinated by the “scab”, hitman, or gunmen at the service of the management. Το Ξενοδοχείο BAUEN αποτελεί μια από τις πιο εμβληματικές επιχειρήσεις που έχουν ανακτηθεί από τους εργαζομένους στην Αργεντινή. Οι ιδιοκτήτες του, στο πλαίσιο απάτης που άφησε τους εργαζόμενούς/-ές του στο δρόμο στα τέλη του 2001, έκλεισαν το εικοσαώροφο κτίριο που βρίσκεται στο κέντρο του Μπουένος Άιρες, αφαίρεσαν τα περιουσιακά στοιχεία και το εγκατέλειψαν για περισσότερο από έναν χρόνο, μέχρις ότου μια ομάδα πρώην εργαζομένων κατέλαβε το χώρο στις 21 Μαρτίου 2003. Έτσι ξεκίνησε μια διαδικασία 13 ετών εργατικής αυτοδιαχείρισης που δημιούργησε 130 θέσεις εργασίας κατά την οποία οι εργαζόμενοι του Ξενοδοχείου BAUEN έκαναν μεγάλες επενδύσεις όσον αφορά την επισκευή και την ανακαίνιση της υποδομής του ξενοδοχείου, με ελάχιστη εξωτερική χρηματοδότηση. ... read full story / add a comment

Como en todos los años la rendición de cuentas pone en evidencia la contradicción entre las prioridades del gobierno y las necesidades concretas de nuestro pueblo. Si la Ley presupuestal define la política quinquenal en la materia, la rendición de cuenta remite a los posibles ajustes, modificaciones o complementos parciales que se pueden hacer desde el parlamento. Queda claro entonces que la partida decisiva en este tema se juega con el proyecto económico para cada período. No obstante la lucha presupuestal encuentra en este escenario un terreno propicio para avanzar en las reivindicaciones de cada sector del campo popular tanto para presionar a los que deciden sobre adonde van los recursos públicos del estado como tambien y en particular porque esta rendición es la última antes de la veda electoral en función a la cual -técnicamente- nada se podrá cambiar hasta el 2015.
