Washington | US President Donald Trump said he received a "beautiful letter" from Chinese President Xi Jinping just hours before trade talks resume under the looming shadow of a tariff deadline mere hours away.
As Wall Street fell, Mr Trump quoted Mr Xi as saying: "Let's work together. Let's see if we can get something done."
