In Almaty, at a city marathon, an anarchist activist was arrested and imprisoned for 15 days for hanging a banner that read “You Can’t Run Away From The Truth”.

This May Day was marked by everything form mass wildcat strikes by teachers across South Carolina, demonstrations against ICE in Portland, a noise demo outside of a jail in New York, student occupations and walkouts in Baltimore, New York, and Portland, and also clashes with the far-Right in Portland and New York. Anarchists, wobblies, and autonomous anti-capitalists of many stripes also held benefit events, BBQs, and participated in larger marches across the so-called US.

Re: Attack at Publico, bookshop of the Anarchist Federation in Paris
An anarchist comrade was violently attacked with a knife the afternoon of 2nd May 2019 in the FA bookshop Publico (Paris).
There is nothing to suggest the attack was targetting him in particular, but rather the organisation he represents and to which he belongs : the Fédération Anarchiste.

The current situation of inundation, exhaustion & fear
The beginning of any counter insurgency from state and capital includes prolonged low intensity attacks. Exarcheia knows full well what this looks like and has with much success resisted it in the past. On 1st of May , 2019, a memorable rally and traditional demonstration of left-wing organizations and parties of the country were held in Helsinki. Anti-fascists, anarchists and left-wing activists organized separated revolutionary anti-fascist anti-capitalist bloc and passed through all the city. At 9 am a memorial rally was held near the monument to the fallen soldiers of the Finnish Red Guard, workers who died in concentration camps organized by nationalists and white guards in 1918-1919. Anarchists and anti-fascists raised black and red flags and laid flowers as a sign of memory and solidarity with the revolutionaries of past eras.

29 and 30 April 2019 the trial against the anarchists charged with “criminal association” and for a series of offences took place in Brussels.
Two defendants attended the trial in the Criminal Court Room. They refused to answer the judges’ questions.
The other ten accused did not show up. All were represented by lawyers.
Following the arguments of the magistrate Malignini of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office the lawyers then spoke. The magistrate requested the following sentences for the various defendants:
