GFMA and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) have jointly published a fact sheet to provide information on the uses and benefits of the LEI, why all counterparties may soon need one in order to meet existing and forthcoming regulatory requirements, and how to obtain the 20-character code.
  

GFMA serves as a forum that brings together its existing regional trade association members to address issues with global implications.
