    Does the law protect a trans person's right to use the restroom consistent with their gender identity? Yes. The WLAD specifically protects against discrimination in employment and places of public accommodation based on one's gender expression or identity.

    Can a person change their name to reflect their gender identity? Yes. In Washington, any person over the age of 18 can choose and use any name they wish.
