    A new study confirms that global warming has triggered an irreversible collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, which will alone raise global sea levels by 10 feet. It's still up to us to decide if that ice takes 500 years to melt, or 50. We are in a climate emergency.

    The West Antarctic Ice Sheet is melting and has probably passed the tipping point to its complete demise, causing a long-term sea-level rise of 3 meters. But is that our fault? That has long been unclear, but now a new paper in NatGeo finds: yes, it is.

    It's wild to me that "if you need more money just leave your job and get another one" is a consistently serious argument that people use it's literally a child's idea of how the world works

    Remarkable intervention from our former top diplomat. Surely it is the people of Tuvalu and Kiribati etc who are bearing the “huge cost”? Truly staggering.

    Sad to see taking shots at at the Pacific Island Forum. She knows only too well she’s asking us to bear a huge cost. How is it in her country’s interest to virtue signal against her country’s best friend? We know why she did it.

    Insects are a Class of that have an astounding range in size and variation. I don't know this at all, but it looks like someone made it up as a work of fiction. ? I'm told this is Creatonotos gangis & that it's found in Australia & Southeast Asia.

    The All Ordinaries has shed 185 points today. Whilst the unemployment rate is static, the underemployed rate rose, so that total underutilisation in the workforce sits at 13.6%. Economists are predicting unemployment will rise to 5.5% next year. This Govt wants a surplus- why?
