Free and dangerous by Elisa and Gabriel – EN/SP/IT

Wednesday, March 20th, 2019

Ardire, Scripta Manent, Operation Buyo … Do they mean anything to you? These are only a few of the police judicial “operations” that our “clan” has lived on its own skin for being and remaining anarchists to the extreme consequence. We are a nomadic clan that goes from country to country in search of accomplices who practice anarchism without asking for approval or consensus, who act without worrying about the “politically correct” discourse (so much in vogue in our times) that haunts our little shops today. We are also not interested in “aesthetics”, but “ethics”, the practical, the real… (more…)

Berlin: Arson attack on a police station against the Police Congress & the G20 Summit (Germany)

Tuesday, February 21st, 2017

18.02.17: On February 21/22 the European Police Congress will take place for the 20th time in Berlin. On this occasion at the Berlin Congress Center (BCC), war mongers, human hunters and security fanatics meet to propagate their despicable machinations.

In addition to Thomas Thomas de Maizière, the Federal Minister of the Interior and Hans-Georg Maaßen, the President of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, agents and guards of all types will be represented by Europol, Frontex, BKA, LKAs and many other authorities. Also present will be lobbyists, entrepreneurs and war ministries such as Heckler & Koch, Taser, Rheinmetal and developers of monitoring software and communications technology such as SAP, IBM and Vodafone will also be present.

Under the slogan – Europe limitless? Freedom, mobility, security – the coming campaigns in which authority is put into position will be discussed and the appropriate technologies and weapons will be brought into the field.
Words such as limitless, freedom and mobility are above all the transnational cooperation of the repressive European bodies, the exchange of data and knowledge and the militarization of Europe and its external borders. (more…)

Galicia: New operation against Gabriel Pombo da Silva and Elisa Di Bernardo (Spain)

Wednesday, February 1st, 2017

Careful who you call comrade!

Tuesday, 24 January, on the outskirts of Vigo (Mos), a deployment of about 60 armed men between the Guardia Civil and secret agents, searched (and almost destroyed) the house where Gabriel Pombo da Silva had lived for a few months with his partner Elisa Bernardo. At dawn the two were violently awakened, handcuffed and separated … aim: to find firearms and explosives! The search lasted about eight hours and in spite of the means employed (dogs and high technology radar tools), gave no results … among the things seized there is the usual “interesting” anarchist material, cameras, maps of various cities, some cable and old malfunctioning cell phones.

While Elisa, despite the repeated threat of being placed under arrest unless she revealed the much desired hiding place, remained free, Gabriel was arrested on charges of “illegal possession and trafficking of weapons and explosives and armed group”. During the 24 hours’ detention (the release of the comrade happened, in fact, the next day) the facts were bitterly reconstructed. (more…)

Letter from anarchist comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva, outside the prison walls at last (Spain)

Sunday, June 12th, 2016

“Anarchism concerns the individual, not only with regards to collectivity but also with regards to itself’. Anarchism is not directed at the “citizen” but to people.” Albert Libertad.

Dear comrades,
Finally, after endless games and chicanery by the prison institution and the ministry of the interior they were forced to obey their own laws, which they constantly break, here I am finally free, writing these first words of gratitude and love to all those who over these past 30 years have accompanied me and reaffirmed my own anarchist beliefs, putting into practice the basic values and principles of anarchism like mutual support and solidarity and have finally managed to pluck me from the clutches of the prison beast which I will continue fighting from the street without forgetting, obviously, the combat being waged outside.

I am certain that even in all of this I am very privileged to have had the support of comrades, because there are many who do not have this possibility. In the coming days we will send out statements in more specific terms about what concerns our movement and possible strategies that we must develop so that we can cure the revolutionary anarchism of our elders of all institutionalism and insubstantial chatter. I want to be clear that I will never forget our libertarian comrades imprisoned in the spanish state and around the world, particularly Mónica, Francisco, Claudio, and the latest comrade to be arrested who will soon be extradited to the german state, and many more unnamed. Update on the situation of anarchist Gabriel Pombo da Silva (Spain)

Thursday, June 9th, 2016

“Let’s not allow the State to keep rebels in its clutches!”

There seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel for comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva who has spent more than 30 years in Spanish and German prison cells.

He was extradited from Germany [to Spain] to serve a sentence of 3 years and 7 months thanks to a European detention order issued by the court of Albacete, which he has just completed following the application of a judicial decree. The same court in Albacete therefore issued an order for his immediate release on May 17, and comrades went to the prison to meet him on the outside over the days that followed. In vain, however, as he is still behind bars.

The management of the prison where he now finds himself (Prison La Moraleja in Dueñas, province of Palencia) and various judicial bodies such as the court of Girona lost no time in submitting a number dubious procedures to prevent Gabriel’s release. These procedures are aimed at prolonging his imprisonment indefinitely, despite the fact that he has several appeals in course. (more…)

Gabriel Pombo da Silva transferred to new wing in Palencia Prison (Spain)

Friday, April 8th, 2016

On 21 March imprisoned anarchist comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva was transferred from module 5 to module 7 in the same jail (La Moraleja – Duenas), where he is now after having been moved last January from Topas prison (Salamanca). The transfer is the old strategy of internal dispersion used on dignified and rebellious prisoners, because Gabriel laughed in the face of the prison director during him being notified of a disciplinary sanction. We recall that Gabriel lives in captivity for 31 years and is paying dearly for his determination and rejection of submission.

Gabriel is not alone! Write to the compa:

Gabriel Pombo da Silva
C.P. “La Maraleja” – Módulo 7 –
P.C.: 34210 Dueñas

Anarchist comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva wins his demands and stops hunger strike (Spain)

Wednesday, January 20th, 2016

Yesterday, 19 January, imprisoned anarchist Gabriel Pombo da Silva came off his hunger strike which he started on the 17 January with the demand to get a single cell. The comrade won his demand and stopped the hunger strike. Companion Juankar Santana Martín, who started a hunger strike in solidarity also stopped his hunger strike. The move by the prison lackies of Dueñas to mess around with Gabriel is a typical act to provoke him during his regular prison transfers.
The victory for his demand shows that each attempt by the authorities to harass our imprisoned comrades should be met with resistance and agitation. Solidarity to those who fight.

Gabriel Pombo da Silva on hunger strike against his conditions of imprisonment (Spain)

Tuesday, January 19th, 2016

Anarchist comrade Gabriel Pombo da Silva who is held hostage by the Spanish state and has recently been ‘ghosted’ (transferred suddenly to another prison) from Topas, Salamanca, to Dueñas, Palencia, has started a hunger strike. The hunger strike is to demand a single cell, as the Spanish authorities always try to revenge Gabriel by putting him in cells with junkies, snitches and other scum, like rapists. By censoring, monitoring and interfering with his correspondence and visits in direct provocations and keeping placing him with the scum, the authorities want to make Gabriel pliant to the new incentives and privileges scheme that they are using across Spain to keep the prisoners heads down. Gabriel has already been forced to endure over 30 years of imprisonment at the hands of the Spanish State, in some of the worst conditions of annihilation. Gabriel started the hunger strike on 17th January, and he is joined by another companion, Juankar Santana Martín, also in the prison of Dueñas.

Solidarity to Gabriel and Juankar!

Letter by Anarchist Comrade Gabriel Pombo Da Silva (Spain)

Saturday, January 2nd, 2016

via actforfree:

‘While there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.’ Eugene Debs

Comrades!

Today I’m in high spirits (you know our life is not a straight line, nor constant, or static…), and those who know me personally know that I have a pretty black a sense of humour (what ‘scandalizes’ others makes me smile, etc. …) almost cynically (especially when it comes to talking about/describing facts to do with the ‘Law’, ‘Rights’, the ‘Authorities’, etc. …); because these are ‘things’ that I can’t take seriously (even though my life is wrapped up in all that), no matter how serious these ‘things’ are.

So I’m writing informally with a smile on my face (even if I’m talking about serious ‘things’) because a sense of humour is one of the ‘things’ that has always kept me ‘struggling on’. I can’t help feeling surprised when I hear/see parlour politicians filling their mouths with words/concepts such as ‘we live by the Rule of law’, ‘we are all equal before the law’, etc. The ‘Spanish Trademark’ (as they now call it) doesn’t know what Democracy is (considering that I’m not democratic either); the Law is a ‘mino-cracy’ and only serves the interests of the caste (I like this about the caste, because that’s what we’ve got in this Country), and those of us who don’t laugh at their jokes are all ‘anti-system’. Does anyone have any doubt about it? (more…)

Acerca del Companero Gabriel Pombo da Silva y las Macrocarceles (Espanya)

Friday, August 21st, 2015

English version

(more…)

Update about Gabriel Pombo da Silva – EN/ES/FR/GR (Spain)

Thursday, August 21st, 2014

On Wednesday, August 6, 2014, comrade Gabriel Pombo Da Silva finally came out of provisional isolation (which had been set in A Lama on June 17) to be transferred to the prison of Topas (Salamanca). He arrived there on Friday, August 8th and is now in a single cell.

However, we were notified again about the intervention on all communications (written, telephone and visits). The prison administration also has an arsenal of measures to punish, abuse and get revenge on those, like Gabriel, Francisco, Monica and many others, who refuse to lower their heads and submit.

These include repeated attempts to break relationships and the difficult (and for some impossible) contact with the outside, or by separating him from his friends by imposing wing transfers- just like that which happened only 3 days after his arrival in Topas prison. (more…)
