They are enjoying a luxury 'babymoon' in Fiji, ahead of the arrival of their first child together in two months' time. And it seems Matty Johnson had a very special reason for whisking away Laura Byrne on a surprise holiday - the pair have gotten engaged, likely during the trip, a friend of the couple has revealed.   Speaking to Daily Mail Australia exclusively, the source revealed: 'They're in Fiji at the moment, so it seems Matty proposed over there. They will make an engagement announcement tomorrow or Monday week when they're home.'

A woman's mysterious disappearance 35 years ago is now being treated as a homicide, police have confirmed. Stella Farrugia was just 18 when she was reported missing on October 18, 1984, by her boyfriend Wojciech Kubale. The teenager was never seen again but for six years her devastated family, from Sunshine, Victoria, received creepy telephone calls from an unknown caller.

A cyclist who was killed in Melbourne on Anzac Day is being remembered as a devoted partner and extraordinary brother.  Damion Drapac tragically died on April 25 when he was hit by a car while on his way to an Anzac Day event at Sandown around 12.30pm.   The 30-year-old who was a member of the Brunswick Cycling Club had just finished his medical degree.

A young woman is lucky to be alive after an unknown wisdom tooth infection blocked her airways and put her into a coma. Caitlin Alsop, (pictured) from the Gold Coast, was only 23 when she went to bed one night in August last year and suddenly felt like she couldn't breathe.  Her first symptoms were a mysterious rash on her face and flu-like symptoms, which she believed would go away after a couple of days.

Alex O'Leary proposed to his girlfriend Becca on a coastal walk in their hometown but for their wedding the couple headed inland to honour his country roots. A dairy farmer by trade Alex, 24, spends every day milking 215 cows while his now wife, also 24, works as a maternity care midwife in New Zealand. Contract assassin Julio Santana, now 64, who has killed more than 500 victims, has shed light on his blood drenched career as a professional killer. British athlete Hayley Carruthers, 25, was left flailing in pain just a meter short of the end of the race as her legs dramatically gave out in the closing stages of Sunday's marathon. Despite the shocking end to her race, Carruthers still managed to achieve a personal best time. She finished in 2:34:03, nearly a quarter of an hour behind the winner of the women's race, Kenya's Brigid Kosgei - who finished in 2:18:20. Pictures showed Carruthers being carried away on a stretcher to receive treatment.

Australian cricketer Nathan Lyon has sold the matrimonial home he once shared with his ex-partner Melissa Waring following their very public split in 2017.  The four-bedroom home overlooking the Royal National Park in the south Sydney suburb of Port Hacking was sold this week for an undisclosed price, The Sunday Telegraph reported.   The off-spinner, 31, bought the Sutherland Shire home for $3.8million in 2016 and had lived there with Ms Waring and their two daughters Harper, five, and Milla, four.

The owner of a luxury car is lucky to alive after it caught fire at a petrol station on Saturday night. Andrew Oglanian drove his Chevrolet Covrette into the McGraths Hill service station in northwest Sydney at about 6.50pm.  He escaped with his life after the car caught fire and spread to the bowsers, causing a number of explosions.

Judging by his spectacular photographs of African wildlife, the Duke of Sussex is something of a natural behind the lens. But while the camera never lies, Harry’s pictures of a rhino, elephant and lion don’t quite tell the full story. Anyone glancing at them quickly could be left with the impression that capturing images of these mighty creatures at such close quarters would have required a thrilling – possibly life-endangering – pursuit across the bush. But the reality is that all three animals had been stunned by a tranquilliser before the prince clicked the shutter. The elephant in Malawi had also been tethered – but because of the way the picture was edited, Harry’s Instagram followers were unable to see the rope around its hind legs.

The Gendarme officer was spotted puffing away on the Double Bridge which crosses the River Seine next to Notre Dame Cathedral in a tightly controlled 'No Smoking' area. It comes two weeks after the building's renovators admitted to smoking illegally around the cathedral. Police also found seven discarded cigarette butts around the roof, where the fire broke out.

Radio Free Europe photographer Amos Chapple, from New Zealand, recently had a look around the site, which lies some 185 miles south of Kiev, and captured the facility in a set of fascinating, if unnerving, photographs. The subterranean base is cylindrical and comprises 10 storeys. It was designed to be self-sufficient for 45 days in the event of a nuclear war and so it contains generators to keep the power running and (very cramped) living quarters with the odd mod con or two. Mr Chapple snapped bunk beds, the silo’s microwave oven, a kettle, the launch buttons, the ladders that connect the facility’s floors, a 750kg blast door and an SS-18 Satan missile on display outside. He described the experience as ‘incredibly unsettling’.

A bystander captured the hilarious moment police had to pull out all the stops to get a four-year-old girl tearing down the street off the road in Little Rock, Arkansas, with her trusty chihuahua by her side. The video shows officers chasing after the little girl, as she pedals with all of her might toward a railroad crossing. they eventually catch up to her, and the officers can be seen at the end of the clip guiding the little girl to the side of road, out of harm's way. Her little dog gets in on the action too, jumping up to get the attention of the police. The video was recorded on April 19.
