Tragedy as woman, 21, is killed in a horror accident

A 21-year-old woman has been killed and four others are injured after two cars collided in the early hours of Sunday morning. Shania McNeill, from Queensland, collided head-on with a Nissan Micra at Berkshire Park in Sydney just before 1.15am, killing her and injuring her two passengers and the two occupants of the other car. A policeman was driving along Richmond Road when he noticed bystanders helping people out of the two destroyed cars, Ms McNeil's Suzuki and the other driver's Nissan Micra.

Judging by his spectacular photographs of African wildlife, the Duke of Sussex is something of a natural behind the lens. But while the camera never lies, Harry’s pictures of a rhino, elephant and lion don’t quite tell the full story. Anyone glancing at them quickly could be left with the impression that capturing images of these mighty creatures at such close quarters would have required a thrilling – possibly life-endangering – pursuit across the bush. But the reality is that all three animals had been stunned by a tranquilliser before the prince clicked the shutter. The elephant in Malawi had also been tethered – but because of the way the picture was edited, Harry’s Instagram followers were unable to see the rope around its hind legs.

Incredible pictures reveal the inside of Ukraine’s last nuclear missile base

Radio Free Europe photographer Amos Chapple, from New Zealand, recently had a look around the site, which lies some 185 miles south of Kiev, and captured the facility in a set of fascinating, if unnerving, photographs. The subterranean base is cylindrical and comprises 10 storeys. It was designed to be self-sufficient for 45 days in the event of a nuclear war and so it contains generators to keep the power running and (very cramped) living quarters with the odd mod con or two. Cops pull over four-year-old girl on her tricycle as video captures her trying to flee down the road with her chihuahua

A bystander captured the hilarious moment police had to pull out all the stops to get a four-year-old girl tearing down the street off the road in Little Rock, Arkansas, with her trusty chihuahua by her side. The video shows officers chasing after the little girl, as she pedals with all of her might toward a railroad crossing. they eventually catch up to her, and the officers can be seen at the end of the clip guiding the little girl to the side of road, out of harm's way. Her little dog gets in on the action too, jumping up to get the attention of the police. The video was recorded on April 19.
