    Last year, before the school year ended, I tried in vain with a group of NYC teachers to meet with the current leadership to discuss student and teacher issues and no one ever got back to me even though I kept following up. They’re NOT interested in hearing from members

    Making tests 50% of teacher ratings also incentivizes teachers to do test prep instead of actual meaningful instruction. Test prep is NOT real teaching & a year full of test prep does a disservice to students social, Emotional & cognitive needs.
