You might not recognize Katie Emo from Colton's season of The Bachelor because the beautiful brunette did not get nearly enough air time.

The medical sales rep was sent home by the former football player on week six, but she did not go home empty handed.

The 26-year-old stunner picked up a must-employ beauty trick that makes your eyes pop. She shares her 'I woke up like this' technique and who she learned it from with FEMAIL.

Not a match: The medical sales rep was sent home by the former football player on week six, but she did not go home empty handed

'I've been stuck in my own ways beauty wise for many years,' Katie admitted. 'I used to apply false eyelash strips.'

While on set filming the ABC hit show, Katie learned a valuable lesson from fellow cast member Cassie Randolph.

'Cassie would apply just two small strips to the end of her lash line in the daytime. She would do a no-makeup makeup look then adhere just two strips and she looked amazing, like she just woke up.

'I started incorporating it into my beauty routine because it completes and extends the eye shape, gives it a little flare and fills it in. Also two strips are doable and easy to adhere.'

Katie suggests pairing it with a cat eye liner look.

'I've tried a bunch of mascaras but L'oreal's Voluminous in black with the curved brush is my go-to.

'I like the curved brush because it goes with the flow of my lashes. The straight one ends up getting on my eyelids.

'I've employed Cassie's eye trick and highlighter ever since the show. The shimmer of highlighter makes me feel good about myself.'

When it comes to fashion, Katie opts for all black basics and favors the edgy grungy look.

'I go to REVOLVE for band tees and crazy sweatpants, camo pants and puffy pants. I pair them with Doc Martins. It's my shopping destination for the "I'm with the band" items and shoes. I'm a shoe addict.'

'To feel sexy, I deck myself out in all black, apply eyelashes and a dark matte burgundy lip. I always go matte to feel sexy.'
