AOC and Ilhan Omar say they will back IMPEACHMENT in the wake of the Mueller report

Democratic congressional freshmen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (top) and Ilhan Omar (bottom) have joined forces in voicing support for an impeachment order against President Trump, following the full release of special counsel Mueller’s report. AOC and Omar's stance marks a significant contrast to those of their more senior Democratic colleagues, but they believe the findings detailed in the report contradict Trump’s assertions that he's been 'totally exonerated' from any criminal wrongdoing. One area of contention for Mueller was whether Trump had attempted to obstruct justice during the investigation into potential Russian collusion - and he was unable to state categorically that ‘no criminal conduct occurred’. Instead, he highlighted Congress’ constitutional powers to investigate the matter further themselves, if they saw necessary. The congressional newcomers believe it's their 'responsibility' to conduct such a probe, and now they're urging their colleagues to answer the call.

What’s NOT in the report: How page after page is covered with redactions

Dozens of pages in Robert Mueller's report had redactions, including a section dealing with Wikileaks and Roger Stone plus there were blackouts around Paul Manafort's Ukraine work. One of the most heavily redacted section of the 448-page report was about Russia's effort to sow seeds of discord in the 2016 presidential election. The four categories for redaction are grand jury evidence, classified material, information about on-going investigations, and details that could 'unduly infringe on the personal privacy and reputational interests of peripheral third parties.'

ADVERTISING The statement adds: 'But if you hadn’t read the report and listened only to Mr. Barr, you wouldn’t have known any of that because Mr. Barr has been so misleading.'

Charlize Theron: My child I thought was a boy is... a girl!

No one could accuse actress Charlize Theron of following the crowd. Take, for example, the case of her elder child, seven-year-old Jackson (bottom left), who was adopted as a baby and introduced to the world as a boy. But when asked about it on a sunny morning in Beverly Hills, Charlize is matter-of-fact. Not only is she raising Jackson as a girl — in fact, she says, Jackson is every bit as much a girl as her three-year-old sister, August (pictured being carried by her mother). The drama of Charlize’s early years is well-documented. The tough life on a remote farm outside Johannesburg, South Africa, tormented by an alcoholic and abusive father (top left) who would regularly and viciously beat Charlize’s mother, Gerda (first right). Then the last tragic day when Charlize was 15 and her father, Charles, who ran a construction business, returned home in a rage, carrying a gun and threatening to kill both Charlize and Gerda. Instead, in front of Charlize’s eyes, in what was later ruled an act of self-defence, Gerda shot him dead.

According to the New York Daily News, the team dropped the song after becoming aware of the late Smith's racially insensitive songs, with names like 'Pickaninny Heaven' and 'That's Why Darkies Were Born.' The Yankees have been using different versions of 'God Bless America' in place of Smith's recording, and will continue to do so. The team had been using Smith's 1939 'God Bless America' recording over the last 18 seasons, following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. According to the Daily News, Smith (pictured left with Babe Ruth) said she directed 'Pickaninny Heaven' at 'colored children,' and she included a line about a place with 'great big watermelons.' A film for that song took place in a black orphanage. In her song, 'That's Why Darkies Were Born,' Smith included the lyrics, 'Someone had to pick the cotton. … That's why darkies were born.' Smith died in 1986 - well after she endorsed the 'Mammy Doll,' which has been criticized as a racist caricature of a black woman. She was immortalized with her own statue outside the old Philadelphia Flyers' home arena, the Spectrum, where her song was used as a good luck charm in the 70s and 80s.
