Yvette Felarca is a middle school teacher and committed anti-racist.  This past summer she joined hundreds of people in Sacramento to shut down a neo-nazi rally at the state building.  Although they were successful, several anti-racists were injured, including Yvette.  Despite her injury, Yvette gave a powerful and eloquent interview with media immediately following the victory that day.

Since then, the racist scum have been seeking revenge on Yvette by sending anonymous threats to her school & demanding that she be fired for taking a principled stand against fascism & racism.

Incredibly, her employer appears to be acquiescing to the demands & threats of racist trolls.  Yvette has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.  As of this writing, Yvette is out-of-pocket for thousands of dollars and her career is on the line.

We believe the actions Yvette took on June 26 were courageous and should be applauded.  Fighting back against fascists and racists is a social duty, not a crime.  Stopping neo-nazis from publicly organizing and operating is self-defence!

We stand with Yvette and call on all anti-fascists and anti-racist to demonstrate their solidarity with Yvette by ensuring she is not out-of-pocket because of her employer's cowardice.  All money raised will go directly to Yvette to compensate for her sudden lack of a paycheque.

ABOUT US: We are The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund, a consensus-based collective of over 100 anti-fascists in eight different countries that defends and supports anti-fascists.  We are in direct contact with Yvette and have received her permission to launch this fundraising campaign on her behalf.
