As part of the experience of the “Pensiero e Dinamite” reading group we would like to address the themes and issues that have emerged from reading the numbers of “Negazine”, a publication written by anarchists, at the next encounter on Friday 12th April. Our intention is to discover and develop ideas, themes, reflections and availability in view of a possible in-depth meeting with those who wrote the magazine. The effort intends to seek a different way of building presentation and discussion initiatives of texts produced by the anarchist movement and to overturn the often stale mechanism of the “offer” by a place or group of a pre-configured theme to which then all are invited to participate, who can only decide whether they are interested or not. Instead we would like to try to bring about among the comrades who desire it a discussion on the subject that can already look into the ideas and themes that will then be developed in a possible later meeting with those who gave life to them in writing the texts that were the basis of the discussion.
For this reason we are inviting comrades interested to the next encounter of the reading group “Thought and Dynamite”:

In a previous article we mentioned news of sabotage of telecommunications in Foix, Ariège, in the night between 4th and 5th March 2019. Now we know more about the process of activation and the economic damage caused by the fire to an Orange distribution frame in the vicinity of the commercial hub Peysales, in the south of the city. Telecommunications were not completely reinstated until late on Sunday 10th March.
‘According to our intelligence, the perpetrators tried first to access the Orange operational site with a crowbar, but they couldn’t manage to do so. However, they managed to force access to a basement room, which was closed with cast iron plates. Through the opening they threw pallets, sprayed everything with petrol and lit a fire. The heat and flames burned the protection of the telecommunications cables, forcing operators to replace all of them [300 metres of cables were completely burnt].

On the 22nd January 2019 after almost forty years in prison the Parole Board considered the case for either my release or continued imprisonment. In the case of life sentence or indeterminately sentenced prisoners once such prisoners have been detained for the length of time originally recommended by the judiciary or Secretary of State, in my case 25 years, then the Parole Board has a statuary and legal obligation and responsibility to review the case for either the release or the
continued detention of such prisoners.
At three previous parole hearings my release had been denied by the Parole Board on the grounds that I was a “difficult and anti-authoritarian” prisoner, and insufficiently obedient to prison authority; my actual risk or danger to the public, the prime official criteria for denying the release of life sentence prisoners, was never cited as a reason for my continued imprisonment.

Our friend Radek has been held in custody in the Netherlands for 5 months now. He was charged with attempted arson at the Polish embassy, which carries a sentence of up to 12 years in jail.
Radek – just as many other workers on emigration – had dealt with exploitation by the employers, on a daily basis. Exploitation, unfair pay, unpaid overtime, atrocious living conditions – the realities of work in the West. Radek had tried to solve those problems in a less radical matter. In Besançon like anywhere else, cities are in constant transformation. They’ve never been (and they’re not) neutral places, but are modelled in the image and likeness of the State and capital. They resemble more and more commercial hubs and open prisons, where any deviation from the traced path is harshly punished.
Urban projects are flourishing in all the corners of the city. They are building flat-out in order to create commercial hubs and neighbourhoods that will be inhabited by eco-responsible citizens. Well serviced and fluid (car sharing, public hire bicycles, trams…) and equipped with green spaces, they are proliferating in the suburbs.

CONCERNING THE RECENT PROSECUTIONS IN ITALY
At the beginning of February the eviction of the squat ASILO OCCUPATO was ordered, a structure of the movement in the city of Turin, with a history of 24 years. The police don’t ‘play’ alone and the evacuation lasts one and a half days because of the resistance from the interior of the squat. Simultaneously all over the city gatherings, meetings, violent protests are being carried out. The carabinieri, in order to silence the reactions, transform entire neighbourhoods into quarantine zones, with blockades, arrests and the prohibition of circulation of traffic. Finally the authorities, as well as the eviction, arrest 6 comrades on charges of subversive activity based on actions against the CIE/CRP [detention centres for immigrants] as well as for solidarity with the revolts that have broken out inside them.
It is clear that there are many more reasons for this operation. ASILO OCCUPATO has taken part in a lot of struggles which bothered the State mechanisms and the bosses. It opposed the destruction of the Val di Susa valley, participating in the movement NO TAV. It gave fights against the detention centres, against the repression and control and the regeneration and gentrification of entire neighbourhoods of the city. Neighbourhoods whose transformation into sterilized regions of consumption and amusement is desired by the bosses. For the above reasons the occupation and the 6 comrades were targeted by the repression.

On 2nd and 3rd March revolutionaries carried out attacks on a police station in Athens and on the Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki.
On 2nd March about forty masked comrades attacked the police station in the neighbourhood of Koukaki, Athens, and threw at least four Molotov bottles. The entrance to the building and two police cars parked outside were damaged. The police arrested 10 people.
On Sunday 3rd March, at around 2:40am, about 50 revolutionaries attacked the police while the latter were defending the Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki, and threw Molotov bottles and stones. The police reacted with teargas and deafening grenades, but the militants managed to go away without arrests being carried out.
