    One year on: the transformation of classrooms in the State. 45,000 classrooms in 4752 schools made Hi-Tech. 58430 laptops & 42227 projectors provided. Broadband internet in 4751 schools. In the next phase, classrooms in 9,941 more schools will go Hi-tech. ₹292 Cr from KIIFB.

    Karunya Health Suraksha Scheme: a comprehensive health insurance scheme from the Kerala Govt. Gives a coverage of 5 lakhs & will benefit 40.96 lakh families. All existing insurance schemes in the State and the Karunya Benevolent Fund Scheme will now be under the new scheme.

    Weather Alert: Extremely hot weather is forecasted in the State. A rise of 2° to 4° Celsius is likely in most places. In the districts of Palakkad, Thrissur, Malappuram & Kozhikode, the temperature may see a rise of upto 8° Celsius above the average on March 5th.

    One more state owned enterprise has turned profitable. KSDP has recorded a profit of ₹2.87 Cr & a turnover of ₹42.38 Cr. The modernization efforts undertaken by this Govt has paved the way for this success. A Non-beta lactam plant has also been installed at the facility.

    Our elderly deserve a life of dignity. Government’s Second Innings Home scheme is transforming old age homes in the State. The facilities will have modern bedrooms, recreation rooms, libraries, yoga rooms, treatment rooms, labs, pharmacy, food court and a walkway.

    The State will give ₹15 lakhs to the wife of the jawan and ₹10 lakhs for his mother. Vasanth Kumar's wife will be given a permanent job. Government will bear the educational expenses of Vasanth Kumar's children. Govt will also construct a new house for the family.

    CM Pinarayi Vijayan visited the home of V.V. Vasanth Kumar and consoled the bereaved family members. V.V. Vasanth Kumar lost his life in the line of duty during the Pulwama attack. The cabinet that met yesterday has announced assistance to the family of the jawan.
