Introducing the Women of Influence Alumni Projects – a new initiative that will see our award-winning alumni volunteer their time and expertise to help develop brilliant ideas that have been conceived by their fellow alumni.
If the 100 Women of Influence Awards is about celebrating greatness, the Women of Influence Alumni Projects is about galvanising this community of influencers that’s been built over the past five years to further create real change in society and local communities.
We’ll also be sharing the stories and progress of these projects which will range from those that are community-based, to business focused. The first project we’ll be supporting will be the “Catch-Up Project” – a new program still in development stage aimed at strengthening the quality of life and financial security for older women. Are you a member of the Women of Influence alumni and thinking about getting involved but worried you’re already busy?
We know how hectic your schedule is, so we’ll work with you to make sure that your involvement doesn’t become too time onerous, and that it enriches you as much as it does the people and community you’re helping.
We’ll also make sure that you’re duly recognised for your contribution:
- Build your profile as a thought leader. You’ll have the opportunity to join the event forums we’ll be launching to support these projects, sharing your insights on the issues being addressed and strategies for change. We’ll also be making a big noise about these projects – profiling all those involved on our website, social media channels and eDMs.
- Expand your network. Our Women of Influence events will also naturally be networking and contact-building opportunities, which takes us to our next point…
- Engaging with a community of influencers. As a change agent, we’re asking you to become an active member of the Women of Influence community, so that we can continue to grow it, and each year support even more projects and worthy causes.
