Maintaining quality and security

Blueprint Certification exams are rigorous and fair assessments of professional competency in Facebook marketing. The exam process is highly secure and designed to make sure your certifications retain their value in the marketplace.

The questions and answers you’ll see on the exams are confidential and may not be shared or discussed with anyone else.

Facebook Blueprint Exam Policy

Exam policy

Please review this exam policy before taking an exam.

  • You may not access or use personal items while taking the exam. These include mobile phones, tablets, other electronic devices, bags, coats, books and preparation notes.
  • Mobile phones and other electronic devices must be turned off or muted and stored out of reach with your other personal items. Exceptions include, the use of your mobile phone during the initial check-in process and/or for additional support that cannot be accessed via the Proctor chat.
  • You may not use note paper or writing materials at any time during the exam.
  • At the start of your exam session, a Greeter will check you in, verify your identity (ensure your government photo issued ID matches your Facebook Blueprint Profile name), confirm that you’re taking the intended exam, and perform a security check of your testing environment.
  • After checking in, a proctor will begin the exam and monitor your testing environment while you take it.
  • If you experience any problems while taking the exam, please inform the proctor right away.
  • The proctor will not answer questions related to the exam content.
  • Breaks are not allowed during the exam. Once you start an exam, you must finish it without leaving the room. If you leave the room for any reason, the exam will be stopped and you may not be allowed take it again.
  • The questions and answers you see on the exam are strictly confidential. You may not share or discuss them with anyone before, during or after taking the exam.
  • When you’re finished with your exam, the proctor will make sure the session has ended properly.

On the day of your exam, you’ll be asked to read and agree to the Candidate Non-Disclosure Agreement before beginning.

Photo ID verification

On the day of your exam, you must present a valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID to verify your identity (ensure your government photo issued ID matches your Facebook Blueprint Profile name). Examples include:

  • Government-issued driver’s license
  • Government-issued photo identification card
  • Passport
  • US Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • US military identification card
  • US Global Entry card

The Greeter will ask you to scan your room with the webcam and may provide additional instructions for removing items from your workspace, tables, shelves, walls and potentially personal items such as watches or glasses.

Please make sure to update your name on the registration, which must be spelled exactly as the same name on your Government issued ID and your Facebook Blueprint Profile, prior to taking your scheduled exam. If your Government issued ID does not match your Facebook Blueprint name, you will be not be to take the exam and will be subject to forfeit of the full exam fee.

Violations of exam policy

If Facebook has reason to believe that you’re involved in exam misconduct or any other testing irregularity that could compromise the integrity of the exam, you may be barred from taking Facebook Blueprint Certification exams for three years from the date of the incident. Failure to abide by the terms and conditions of the Candidate Non-Disclosure Agreement will result in the cancellation of your exam score, the forfeiture of your exam fee, and pursuit of any other legal remedies available to Facebook.

If you disagree with an action taken against you for actual or suspected exam policy violations, you may direct an appeal to the Certification Review Board, who will review your case and make a final decision within 1-3 business days. If further investigation is required, additional time will be needed to determine the conclusion of your case.

Retaking an exam

If you don’t pass an exam, you may schedule a follow up appointment to retake it. You must wait 5 days before retaking an exam. You can retake your exam as many times as you want (but no more than once every 5 days). The cost for retaking an exam is the same as for a first attempt.

Re-certification requirements

It’s essential for certified candidates to maintain credentials through re-certification. Re-certification consists of taking the most current Buying Professional or Planning Professional exam prior to expiration. In order to do so, please schedule a re-certification exam here. If expiration takes place, all exams, including the Core Competencies exam, will need to be repeated in order to regain certification(s). Certifications are valid for 12 months. Please log into CertMetrics to view the status of your certification(s).

Video recording

A video recording of your testing session will be kept for up to 30 days for exam security purposes, except where restricted by government regulation.
