I'm an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Harvard University. Before coming to Harvard, I was an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Illinois State University (2013-2016). Before that, I was a grad student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I received my PhD in philosophy in 2013. I received my BA in 2006 from Ball State University, majoring in philosophy and Spanish. Before beginning my PhD, I spent some time teaching kindergarten in Denver, Colorado.

My research interests are in the areas of social and political philosophy and ethics. I've written on political liberalism and political legitimacy, educational justice, the gendered division of labor, and diversity problems within the discipline of philosophy.
