Fair Wood sells a wide range of ethically sourced timbers.
We seek to educate the community about ecologically sustainable and ethical timber sourcing.
Choosing the right timber is crucial for the creation of a beautiful, long lasting and environmentally sensitive project. Timber can be reused, recycled and store carbon through many of its uses. If timber is sourced from well-managed forests it can help to maintain healthy ecological processes, promote carbon storage, and contribute to the social and economic well-being of local communities.
Poorly managed timber production often results in detrimental impacts to ecosystems, compromising carbon storage and increasing the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. It is now is more important than ever to choose timber – strong, durable and beautiful – that does not cost the earth.
CERES Fair Wood is a registered social enterprise in Australia. All of our profits are re-invested into Fair Wood and our founding organisation, CERES – Centre for Education and Research in Environmental Strategies.

Customer Review – Andre Macky, Melbourne.
“I recently used CERES Fair Wood for a decking project and was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and consistency of the timber, the finish, the service and price. These people really know their timber and it was a pleasure to deal with them on this project.”
