The Role of NMAAHC Ambassadors

Ambassadors are emerging and seasoned leaders in their 30s and 40s who promote philanthropy and service in the interest of the Museum. Ambassadors sustain the vision and mission of the Museum by providing a commitment of $5,000 to $24,999.

The NMAAHC Ambassadors Program was publicly launched in June of 2012. Since its inception, the program’s core values of philanthropy, networking, and leadership have continued to drive the program’s popularity with philanthropic-minded professionals across the country.

Ambassadors enjoy the following benefits:

  • Networking opportunities with Museum leadership, fellow Ambassadors, and other donor groups
  • Invitations to Museum-hosted events for Ambassadors
  • Recognition in the Smithsonian’s philanthropic community, including listing in the Smithsonian Institution Annual Report for fiscal year giving (circulation: 2 million)
  • Service opportunities with organizations that partner with the Museum
  • Opportunities to host a cultivation event with Museum input
  • News updates
  • A signature Ambassador Pin

Benefits associated with this giving circle are offered for a five-year period beginning from the date of pledge submission.
