    Twitter mixups are quite common, here's a great example of how to make amends quickly and gracefully while also reminding us that the elephant is still very much in the room even if the part we thought we saw was not exactly Elephas maximus indicus!

    Some well deserved gotcha criticism on Twitter for a careless tweet below where I mixed up cross-border PTI names. Have deleted tweet but here is an image for posterity. Apologies for using this incorrect example to flag what is a real issue re press freedom in India. No excuses.

    These earrings are special because they belonged to my great grandmother. She left me these, much to the annoyance of my younger sister, because of my fascination for peacocks & also because not many 5 year olds would patiently sit through her long morning puja!

    Talk about crimes in India dude, don't show a invisible devil n shout! What happened with Kashmiri Pandits is wrong, that's out of d bigotry of extremists but they haven't taken or used as war cry but Hindutwa terrorists use as war cry!

    It’s cute when Twitter activists accuse those who have done their jobs at great personal costs of not understanding resistance. Of course, trending a childish hashtag is a far greater act of resistance than standing upto organisations and governments that try to crush you!

    When religious slogans like or are used to murder people, it has little to do with religious sentiments and more to do with hate. More than hurt, it makes me angry that religion is being used to justify hate. Slogans like are purely puerile!

    People’s sentiments are hurt more by than by used as a war cry to lynch people. Some religious sentiments are difficult for me to understand

    Criminal defamation has been done away in many countries, including in Sri Lanka in our neighbourhood. It is a hangover of colonial times. We at the have been hit by several such cases, and we know it is meant to harass people. There are many other options available

    Rohatgi takes out the resignation letters of some MLAs. Says letters specify they are "voluntarily" resigning for personal reasons. They did not give invalid reasons like "I hate politics", etc Some lawyer must have advised them... CJI: Is that lawyer you, Mr Rohatgi?
