Disaster. Gutenberg should be option on installation (or never be on core, to begin with...), just like language. Not shoved down our throats.

What is this block nonsense? How do I get the old version back?
-
Install and activate the "Classic Editor" plugin. That'll take you back to the "old version".pic.twitter.com/G3VWHMPIis

They have
@GetClassicPress -
The one before this, I hate it!
-
I know...and that's why you might want to check out
#ClassicPress It's not going to be WIX as WP is intending to be. It's WP without Gutenberg forever. Migration is very easy. Tool available. Just go to@GetClassicPress .. be careful of the crowd there..

Why should I deprive my clients (most of them can use a text editor at most) of the opportunity to maintain their own website? The old editor was the main argument for wordpress against pagebuilder.
-
The main advantage of "selling" Wordpress was how easy it was for the average user to manage. You
@wordpressdotcom think that all of your users are tech savvy? Or they can afford to spend money for others to maintain their sites? You shoot yourselves in the foot.. -
totally agree. They're turned
@WordPress into a nightmare. Not everyone wants or needs to be a computer geek, they want an easy to main website, not this shit of#Gutenberg -
Sites on our servers automatically have both editors installed.
-
sucks. Gutenberg never should have been. You've already created chaos, two updates to Classic Editor in two days. People want simplicity, they don't want to be designers. Big mistake
-
We agree! CHANGE IT BACK!!!!
@HoopsHD@csherwood_1973@jstalica78@jonteitel -
You can install the classic editor plugin. But
@WordPress never should have subjected us to this. People don't want to be developers or computer geeks, they just want a simple way to set up and maintain a website.

Worst update ever! Gluten should've been a plugin! tainting the core with it is a very idiotic and bigoted move. Disabled gluten on all fifteen installations! Let's see how far you short-sighted nincompoops are willing to go by disregarding the community suggestions! No hope!
-
Well said! Glutenberg belongs in the plugin repo and not in the core. It is so over complicated and unecessary for an editor. What were they thinking? 900 one star reviews ignored. Bigotry, this is!

The new editor is horrible, hate it, ruined a perfectly simple interface with blocks. This could result in migrating to other platforms
